| Revealed: Inside Donald Trump's and Melania's toxic marriage | Mr Olumide's Blog Posted: 05 Jan 2018 03:31 AM PST Donald and wife Melania Trump's marriage has bbeen burst wide open in an explosive new book, which claims the pair barely speak and never share a bed. Michael Wolff's new book Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House, already branded as "false and fake" by Trump over Twitter, charts the billionaire's chaotic rise to power and alleges his wife never wanted him to become President. Author Wolff delves into Trump's dizzying political victory, his allies and enemies as well as his marriage to third wife Melania. The pair, who married in 2005 at the Episcopal Church of Bethesda by-the-Sea in Palm Beach, barely speak and go for days without even knowing where each other are, according to Wolff. In a damning indictment of the marriage, the author claims everyone around the President perceives the relationship as "perplexing" and says Trump barely knows his 12-year-old son Barron, using him only for public appearances. "Donald Trump's marriage was perplexing to almost everybody around him - or it was, anyway, for those without private jets and many homes. He and Melania spent relatively little time together. They could go days at a time without contact, even when they were both in Trump Tower. "Often she did not know where he was, or take much notice of that fact. Her husband moved between residences as he would move between rooms," Wolff writes. Insinuating a bizarre night time ritual, Wolff said Trump demanded a key to his bedroom, locking his wife and the secret service out so he could binge on cheeseburgers while watching not one but THREE televisions. Wolff also alleges Trump likes to head beneath the duvet at 6.30pm. It is believed the President prefers McDonalds and other fast food joints because he lives in fear of being poisoned. Because fast food is already prepared he suspects it is a safer food source than other choices. "The book is clearly going to be sold in the bargain fiction section," fumed the first lady's Communications Director Stephanie Grisham. Culled from UK Mirror culled from MPNB Mr Olumide's Blog |
| Interesting Ways To Simplify Your Life This 2018 Posted: 05 Jan 2018 03:25 AM PST A busy schedule and cluttered life are getting in the way, and it's time to do something about it. If you're feeling weighed down, dump some of your stress. This year, make it your goal to scale back. Replace your hectic agenda and worries with simplicity. But how do you even begin? Simplicity Is Stepping Back When things start to pile up and you're feeling stressed, what do you do? Do you work all hours of the night to catch up, frosting 50 cupcakes for the school bake sale while also writing thank you notes for the gifts you got last month? Getting things off your list can feel good in the end — but if you're working so hard to get it done, is that little check mark worth it? Focus on the things that matter If your mind is on a dozen other things, how can you truly devote time to living His Word? We must focus on the things that matter, rather than allowing distraction to lead us astray. Are you missing out on time with family and friends, or letting work seep into your free time? Even worse, is your busy schedule distracting you from God? Know when to say yes – by listening to God's voice We have much to learn from Mary, mother of Jesus, who fully submitted herself to God's will. Life in Mary's time wasn't easy, but she put His call before any of her own desires. When she was approached with the message that God's will was for her to become pregnant, Mary didn't question His plan. She trusted Him and simply said 'yes.' Her faith didn't mean she wouldn't suffer hardships or have to navigate complications in her life — but she knew her path was guided by God Himself. Mary's faith was returned with the privilege of birthing Jesus into this world. He has a plan for you, too. Are you listening? It's not all about saying 'no' — you also need to know when to say 'yes.' Approach God in prayer and ask Him to lead you. God will show you what He needs from you. Before you fill your calendar, ask where He may need you to leave a little space open for Him. Prioritize relationships Pay attention to the relationships you work to sustain. If nights out with acquaintances are too much work with too little gain, think again before saying yes. But, hold on to your Christian community — they're there to help lift you up. We are reminded of this at Proverbs 27:17, "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another." Prioritize those mutually beneficial relationships with those who encourage you in His service, and watch how you all flourish. Find spaces of alone-time to give to GodFind simplicity in your routine. Rather than complaining about how stressful your life is, give it to Him. Spend your commute talking to Him rather than listening to the radio. Savor the solitude of quiet time with God. Take refuge in daily prayer or Bible journaling sessions. Where do you place the most value? Look at where you are over-extending yourself. Do you know your limit? God does. Have you asked Him about it lately? The "Slow Down" Strategy Slow down. Reschedule a meeting, take your time with a project, take a nap. Or, say no. Don't allow the hassles of everyday life to get in the way of living how He intends. Ask for God's guidance when you're considering taking on a new project or if you need direction. The "Reconnect" Strategy Reconnect. Take your newfound quiet and reconnect with yourself, your family — and most importantly — with Him. Nothing should get in the way of prayer or time spent in His Word. Stop trying to be perfect. Just be you, because He takes us as we are — flaws and all. Source - Day Spring culled from Olu famous Mr Olumide's Blog |
| Man beheads drinking partner, throws head out of window | Mr Olumide's Blog Posted: 05 Jan 2018 03:11 AM PST A man allegedly cut off the head of his drinking partner with a kitchen knife and then threw it out of the window. Horrified residents raised the alarm after discovering the decapitated head on the ground outside a block of flats on New Year's Eve. According to Daily Mirror, the 40-year-old man, whose name has not been released, was arrested and is said to be helping police with their inquiries into the death in the city of Veliky Novgorod in north-western Russia's Novgorod Oblast region. Officers say the two men were drinking together at a flat in the block when they fell out and one attacked the other with the knife. They say the suspected killer decapitated his rival and simply tossed the head out of the window after committing the crime. The suspect reportedly tried to flee the scene by climbing on to a neighbour's balcony but was spotted by the resident who reported the intruder to police. culled from MPNB Mr Olumide's Blog |

| I Was Paid N20,000 For Killing Redeemed Church Pastor - Badoo Suspect Confesses Posted: 05 Jan 2018 02:45 AM PST One of the five suspected members of the Badoo ritual gang operating at the Ikorodu area of Lagos state by the Police, has made some shocking revelations. While speaking to correspondents, 18-year-old suspected Badoo member, Chibuzor Igwe, revealed in chilling details how he and other members killed a pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) last year at Igbogbo, Ikorodu area of Lagos State. The pastor, Victor Kanayo, was attached to Finger of God Parish, Igbogbo. He was murdered on November 26, around 7p.m., at his residence, along Offin, Igbogbo. Igwe and four other suspects, including a lady, Gift Akaeze, were paraded by the police yesterday. Other suspects are Fatai Adebayo alias Alese, Samuel Akaeze, alias Samiti and Omotayo Abamoyegun. Adebayo is alleged to be the chief herbalist and was further alleged of being a kingpin of the gang. He is also alleged of being the person in charge of fortifying members before they go out for killing operations. The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, displayed stones and bloodstained clothes allegedly recovered from the Badoo suspects. Speaking with journalists, Igwe disclosed the modus operandi of Badoo ritual killing group. His words: "We usually spray a powdery substance on a target, while he is sleeping. The person will then fall deeper into sleep. Once we are sure the person is in a deep sleep, we would smash the person's head with stone, and then scrub his blood with a white handkerchief." Recollecting how he met and joined the Badoo group, Igwe recounted: "After I was sacked from the factory where I used to work, I needed a job to sustain myself. That was why I went to meet Omotayo Abamoyegun. He is a friend. I wanted to work for him as a driver. "He advised me to wait for two weeks. After two weeks, he called me that he had a job for me. He said that the job was better than driving. It was then he introduced me to the Badoo group. I was forced to take an oath before I started working with them. "My first operation was the killing of the RCCG pastor at Igbogbo. They promised to give me N500,000 if I successfully carried out the operation. "It was Gift, the lady among us that showed us the pastor's house. "Gift's husband, Samuel, a welder, was the one who assisted us to break into the pastor's house. Omotayo sprayed a substance on the pastor while he was still sleeping. I then used the stone to smash his head. I was given N20,000, instead of the N500,000. I was also given the pastor's Asha Nokia phone. "They promised to balance me. I was leaving the scene when a local vigilante group arrested and handed me over to the police." Imohimi, thereafter, prevented journalists from speaking to other suspects; he ordered that they should be returned to police cell. Imohimi said: "The method used by the Badoo group is to hypnotise their victims while they are asleep. The victims would fall into a deep sleep, and then these Badoo members would smash the victim's head with a grinding stone." Recounting the murder of another victim by the Badoo group, Imohimi said that on December 30, around 2:30p.m., the peace of Lagos State was disturbed at Alajo Close, Ibeshe, a suburb of Ikorodu, after three suspects invaded the home of late Shakiru Yekini's compound. The invaders killed Yekini and injured his wife and their sixmonth- old baby. Imohimi said: "The role of Abamoyegun in the gang is to spray the powdery substance into the house of their victim, which makes them fall into a deep sleep, after which another member of the gang will smash the victim's head with a grinding stone. Having certified that the victim is dead, the suspects would use white handkerchief to scrub the victim's blood for ritual purpose. "Luck, however, ran out on them after one of the victims raised the alarm and vigilante men on duty quickly reacted. The vigilante men alerted policemen, who quickly cordoned off the area. Chibuzor Igwe was arrested at the scene. He has made startling revelations, which led to the arrest of Abamoyegun and Akaeze. Please note that a grinding stone used to smash the victim's head, smeared with blood was recovered at the murder scene and taken to the lab for forensic analysis to back up our evidence in court." Imohimi added: "Gift, who is the wife of Samuel, was arrested for allegedly supplying information to the suspects on where to strike. Abamoyegun confessed that he usually takes members of the group to Fatai Adebayo, an herbalist. Adebayo specialized in fortifying the suspects and blessing their stones, which they would use for successful operations." Imohimi disclosed that Adebayo had been arrested and his shrine, located at Ijebu Imosan, destroyed in an operation, which he led on Tuesday. Imohimi further said: "The war against the suspected killers will not stop. The police will not relent until all the killers are brought to book. We use this opportunity to declare Alaka Abayomi Kamal wanted following a warrant of arrest issued by a magistrate's court in Lagos. He still remains wanted by the police." culled from Olu famous Mr Olumide's Blog |
| Herdsmen kill woman, destroy 200 acre farms in Ondo State Posted: 05 Jan 2018 02:45 AM PST Some suspected Fulani herdsmen have allegedly invaded a farmland at Arodoye community, in the Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State, destroying 200 acre farms. The herdsmen also allegedly killed a female farmer, identified as Patience Salami. The incident was said to have occurred during the Yuletide holiday when most of the farmers had travelled out of the community. It was gathered that nobody had been arrested by the security agencies for the incident. Some of the farmers who spoke to our correspondent on Thursday lamented that they had lost millions, saying the herdsmen destroyed farm produce. Speaking on behalf of the farmers, Justice Micheal Owoyemi, whose farm was also affected, said some of the farm produce destroyed by the herdsmen included cassava, cocoyams, yams, vegetables, adding that some cocoa farms were set on fire. He said, "The herdsmen destroyed over 5,000 heads of cassava in my farm. They took the advantage of the Christmas break; they uprooted our cassava to feed their cattle. "We have reported the herdsmen to the security agents and also to the Deji of Akureland, Oba Aladelusi Aladetoyinbo, who promised to intervene. "The herdsmen are determined to send farmers out of their farms unless steps are taken by concerned authorities. What they destroyed is worth millions of naira. "Most of these people here depend on the farms produce to cater to their families." Owoyemi, who is a serving judge in the Ondo State Judiciary, said the farmers had petitioned the state governor, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu, security agencies and the Ministry of Agriculture to inform them of the havoc wrecked on farms in the area, but nothing had been done. Another farmer and member of the community, Mr. Victory Oweh, lamented that he lost produce on 10 acres to the destruction by the herdsmen. "We are just respecting the law of the land and trying not to take the law into our own hands. "Ondo State Government should follow the steps taken by the Ekiti State Government by enacting laws to curb the activities of herdsmen. We are calling on the state government and security agencies before taking the law into our own hands." The Public Relations Officer of the Ondo State Police Command, Mr. Femi Joseph said the matter had not been reported to the police. culled from Olu famous Mr Olumide's Blog |

However, the husband is said to be denying responsibility. Also in the text, which had the family of the former National Security Adviser, Colonel Sambo Dasuki, in copy, the former minister told friends that he no longer wants to have anything to do with the wife, advising their friends not to render financial assistance to her. . . "No friend of hers can remain mine. I urge you to be very careful of this mad, ungrateful, deceitful and treacherous woman," he warned friends. . . | I'm Ready To Appear Before Police, But Not Lagos CP – Suspected Badoo kingpin Posted: 05 Jan 2018 12:35 AM PST Suspected Badoo kingpin, Alhaji Alaka Abayomi, has said he is ready to submit himself to the Nigeria Police Force for investigations. Alaka, who had been declared wanted by the Lagos State Police Command, however, said he would not appear before the state Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi. He alleged that investigations would be compromised if carried out under CP Imohimi's supervision, urging the Force headquarters in Abuja to take up the matter. Alaka spoke to Punch on Wednesday on the heels of the arrest of a herbalist, Fatai Adebayo, who allegedly administered oaths on Badoo members before they went on operations. On Wednesday, the Lagos State Government also sealed off Alaka's filling station and hotel on Ijebu-Ode-Itoikin Road, in the Sabo area of Ikorodu, saying the facilities violated the state's Urban and Regional Planning Law of 2010. Alaka, in a telephone interview with Punch, said he was not apprehended and challenged the police to come up with evidence against him. He was, however, evasive when asked where exactly he was. The embattled businessman, who spoke in Yoruba, said, "What evidence did the police have before calling me Badoo (kingpin)? Did any suspect mention my name? What does sealing my property have to do with this case? I applied and paid for the Certificate of Occupancy for the filling station five years ago, but I have not got it. I have evidence of payments. "Since the police declared me wanted, no policeman came to my house or office to invite me. The police have my number, but they did not call me on the telephone for invitation. I don't believe I am wanted because no invitation was sent to me. Since the police said they were looking for Badoo members, they have not arrested any prime suspect. "I want the government to intervene. I am ready to appear before the police or any investigative body, but not before the Lagos State Police Command and Edgal (Imohimi). A team should be set up to investigate the matter, particularly from Abuja. He (Edgal) declared me a Badoo kingpin, but what evidence does he have? About five security men guarding the filling station have been arrested." Alaka explained further that he had sued the police command and Imohimi at the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, for blackmail, but the respondents had yet to appear before the court. He alleged that the court had also delayed ruling on an injunction application filed by his lawyer, seeking that the police be restrained from arresting him (Alaka) pending the determination of the substantive suit. The 51-year-old claimed that his issues with the police started when he declined to pay N10m bribe an Investigating Police Officer reportedly demanded from him. He said, "I can no longer walk freely around Ikorodu for fear of area boys administering jungle justice on me. "I have read about the herbalist that was arrested. I don't know him. Why didn't police allow him to talk to journalists? The case should be transferred from the Lagos State Command; they have dented my image. "I sleep in my house in Magodo; no policeman came to arrest me. "I will not show up at the Lagos State Police Command for three reasons: one, they don't have evidence against me. I was arrested and released the following day without being told to write a statement. "Secondly, the CP has refused to appear in court. The case has been in court since August 2017. For three adjourned dates, the court was said to be on vacation. During the last sitting, the judge adjourned till February 2018 for ruling on the injunction, which is very suspicious. "Thirdly, I will not surrender myself to the CP because he will compromise investigation. But I am ready to appear before the Inspector-General of Police and the National Assembly. "The genesis of this issue was when the IPO requested that I should pay N10m to settle some police officers at the command. It was when I refused to pay the money that I was arrested. I have petitioned the National Assembly and the IG on this." When contacted for reactions to the allegations made by the suspect, the Lagos State Police Public Relations, SP Chike Oti, said he had no comment. He said, "I have no comment to make because the case is under investigation. Everything concerning the subject is under investigation. The command won't bandy words with him. He is being wanted by the police and he should turn himself in." culled from Olu famous Mr Olumide's Blog |

The mother of the boy absconded shortly after the boy was diagnosed with the ailment at the hospital. The hospital's Public Relations Officer, Mrs Success Obere, told newsmen on Thursday in Warri that the teenager was admitted on Dec. 12, 2017. Obere said the woman had told the nurses on duty that she was going home to get some things and detailed a friend who accompanied her to the hospital to look after the sick boy. "After waiting patiently for the woman, the lady also left. "We have called all the contacts the women gave but she is not picking. We also called another line but the person denied knowing the woman or the boy. "We reported the issue at the "A" Division in Warri and the Divisional Police Officer assigned the Police Social Welfare Unit to handle the case. "The hospital attempted to admit the boy into the orphanage in Warri but he was rejected on the ground that he was seen as physically challenged," she said. Obere, however, said the boy's health was improving and appealed to the parent to come forward. | N5.4b Slush Funds: EFCC Begins Interrogation of David Mark Posted: 04 Jan 2018 10:50 PM PST After allowing him a two-week of recuperation, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission( EFCC ) yesterday grilled a former President of the Senate, Chief David Mark in connection with alleged N5.4billion slush funds. Also, the commission is investigating Mark in respect of a curious payment to him by the Office of the National Security Adviser( ONSA) under Sambo Dasuki. A former Minister of State for Niger Delta, Mr. Sam Ode is already being probed over N2billion campaign funds meant for Benue State. According to findings by our correspondent, Mark reported to the EFCC at about 1.45pm. He had earlier presented a medical certificate to the anti-graft agency that he was not fit enough to "be able to write a statement." Based on his fidgety nature, the EFCC allowed him enough grace to attend to his health. Mark, who was at the EFCC office with one of his sons, was ushered into the investigation room at about 1.48pm. The allegations against Mark alleged N200m -N550m arms procurement cash from ONSA; N2.9billion curious payment into the account of the National Assembly's account and shared to Senators during Mark's tenure; his role in about N2billion campaign funds meant for Benue State; and illegal purchase of a N748million official residence of the Senate President. A top source, who spoke in confidence with The Nation, said: "We have resumed full probe of Mark, who came to respond to issues raised for him by a panel of detectives. "Being in company of his son, he was calm during interrogation which involved the presentation of some of our findings to him. "Altogether, he has more than three cases before the EFCC but we are gradually isolating every issue in which he was implicated. "By the time we release the facts to the public, Nigerians will realize that the ongoing probe of the former Senate President has nothing to do with politics. We have been on some aspects of the investigation since 2015. "In one of the findings, about N200million was collected in cash for Mark from ONSA through a proxy." Meanwhile, a former Minister of State for Niger Delta, Sam Ode has been implicated in the disbursement of N2billion campaign funds meant for Benue State alongside Mark. The cash was suspected to be part of the allocation wired from the Office of National Security Adviser(ONSA) meant for arms procurement. Another source said: "We have already quizzed the ex-Minister who has given useful information on who got what among PDP chieftains in Benue State. "Our detectives have identified those who signed for the N2billion. In fact, some stalwarts diverted the cash into personal use." culled from Olu famous Mr Olumide's Blog |
| I was tricked into joining Badoo-18-year-old suspect confesses, | Mr Olumide's Blog Posted: 04 Jan 2018 10:23 PM PST One of the five Badoo cult suspects paraded on Thursday at the Lagos State Police Command headquarters in Ikeja, 18-year-old Chibuzor Igwe, says he was tricked into joining Badoo cult. Igwe explained that he had approached one of the alleged leaders of the cult, Obamoyegun Omotayo, for a driving job, but was lured into the gang. Chibuzor said, "I am a Badoo member. Around November, I told Obamoyegun (Omotayo) that I wanted to be his driver because I saw him with new cars. He told me that it would take some time before he would give me the job. During that time, he called me…." But what could have been a full-blown revelation from the teenager, who has injuries on his hands, was aborted by the state Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, who stopped the interview and ordered that Chibuzor and the other suspects be taken away. Imohimi claimed that the suspects' confession would jeopardise police investigations and efforts to arrest other members of the gang. Earlier, while briefing journalists on the arrests, the CP identified other Badoo suspects as Chibuzor's elder brother, Uche Igwe; a welder, Samuel Akaeze, akaSamito; his wife, Gift Akaeze; and a herbalist, Fatai Adebayo, aka Adaripon. According to Imohimi, Gift provides information on the targets whom the assailants consequently attack. He said Chibuzor was apprehended while he wanted to escape from Alabo Street, Abule Osorun, Ibeshe, Ikorodu, where the gang smashed the heads of a couple and their five-month-old baby on December 30, 2017. Imohimi explained that Chibuzor, Samuel and Omotayo carried out the attack, adding that by the time a joint team of policemen and a vigilance group responded to a distress call, Samuel and Omotayo had fled. He said, "The gang of three murderers comprises Chibuzor Igwe, Samuel Akaeze, aka Samito and Obamoyegun Omotayo. Omotayo usually sprays a powdery substance into victims' dwelling places that would make them to fall into deep sleep before they end their lives by smashing their skulls with grinding stones. | Serena Williams pulls out of Australian Open | Mr Olumide's Blog Posted: 04 Jan 2018 10:23 PM PST Serena Williams, has reluctantly pulled out of this year's Australian Open. Williams who recently gave birth, said on Friday that she needed more time to be ready to defend her title. She said while she was close to regaining full fitness after giving birth to her first child in September, she was not fully ready to defend her title. | Posted: 04 Jan 2018 09:31 PM PST There are so many ways to save money this New Year and one of such is via technology. This is because when it comes to our digital or tech life, it may be difficult to put a lid on your spending especially if you are a tech whiz. Since we are in the New Year, Jumia Travel deems it fit to highlight some money-saving tech hacks. Don't assume expensive means quality The perception that expensive means quality is a notion that needs to be changed. An overpriced gadget does not necessarily mean it is durable. This is why it is advisable to do your research before you buy any tech item. Do your research When it's time to buy a new tech device, there are a lot of things you have to consider. But, if you don't do your research beforehand, you could end up with something much more expensive than you actually need or something of lower quality. Buying the right product for your needs will ensure you won't waste money. Buy refurbished If you are in the market for a new laptop, phone, or any other gadget, buying refurbished is one of the cheapest ways to save some money. Refurbished products are just as good as new products. However, endeavour that you fully scrutinise it to make sure it's up to standard. Do not rush to buy You do not have to buy a tech gadget as soon as it is unveiled or released. At that very time or period, it will be expensive notwithstanding if you can afford it or not. If you tarry for a while, you can buy it for a lot lesser. Sell your old devices When some persons buy a new device, they prefer to give it out rather than selling it. Why not sell that device for a good price and make some money off it? As such, take good care of your current gadgets so that you can sell it at a reasonable price. culled from Olu famous Mr Olumide's Blog |
