In her words; "I was born blind. I just couldn't see for some months. Since I sang about it, I felt the need to help kids that find themselves in such situations or even worse. So every time I travel to these places, I try to extend a hand of love to these children. "She also spoke about her debut movie 'The Bridge' saying; " I just got a call from Kunle Afolayan . He didn't know before then that I wanted to act. I even asked him, 'Why did you call me? I don't understand.' He said, 'You're a musician; you shoot music videos,' and from the way he saw me on screen, he thought that I would at least know a few things and if I had any challenges, he would definitely put me through. Until recently, Mugabe had a reputation for extensive and expensive international travel, including regular medical trips to Singapore, a source of public anger among his impoverished citizens. The official said he left Harare with Grace and aides on Monday evening, the official said. He is expected to make a stop-over in Malaysia, where his daughter, Bona, is expecting a second child. "He has gone for a routine medical trip to Singapore," said the official, who has organized Mugabe's security protection but who is not authorized to speak to the media. The trip means Mugabe will not be in Zimbabwe when ZANU-PF endorses President Emmerson Mnangagwa as its leader and presidential candidate for 2018 elections during a one-day special congress on Friday. The security official would not say how Mugabe was traveling although the privately owned NewsDay newspaper said he was on a state-owned Air Zimbabwe plane. Mugabe was granted immunity from prosecution and assured of his safety under his resignation deal, a source of frustration to many Zimbabweans who accused him of looting state coffers and destroying the economy during his time in power. Another government official told Reuters in November that Mugabe had been due to travel to Singapore on Nov. 16 but was unable to leave because the military had confined him to his private home the previous day. George Charamba, a senior information ministry official, declined to comment. Under Zimbabwe's Presidential Pension and Retirement Benefits Act, a former head of state is entitled to perks including limited foreign travel and medical insurance. "These are very standard features of a retired president," another government official said, trying to head off any controversy. McNabb no longer works for NFL Network. Jami Cantor, who worked as a wardrobe stylist for NFL Network before she was fired in October 2016, alleges Faulk invited her to his hotel room and stroked and pulled out his genitals in front of her, before pinning her against the wall, demanding oral sex while he pulled his pants down. Cantor alleges Faulk also frequently groped her breasts and fondled her from behind and asked "deeply personal and invasive questions" about her sex life, such as her favorite sex position, would she consider dating black men and if she likes oral sex, among others. McNabb, who joined NFL Network as an analyst in 2012 before leaving for Fox and later beIN Sports, allegedly sent Cantor sexually explicit messages and comments during his time at NFL Network. Taylor allegedly sent Cantor a video of him masturbating in the shower as well as other "sexually inappropriate" pictures of himself. Evans allegedly sent Cantor nude photos of himself on two separate occasions. He also allegedly insisted Cantor should have sex with him. Cantor also alleges she was sexually harassed by former NFL Network executive Eric Weinberger. Cantor claims Weinberger sent "several nude pictures of himself and sexually explicit texts" and told her she was "put on earth to pleasure me." Cantor also alleges Weinberger would at times press his crotch against her shoulders and ask her to touch it. The former NFL Network executive also allegedly made several lewd comments, such as telling Cantor she is "making him hard" and she "should be getting f---ed every day." Weinberger is now the president of renowned sports personality Bill Simmons' media group. | Hackers steal $10m from U.S., Russian banks | Mr Olumide's Blog Posted: 12 Dec 2017 01:48 AM PST  Group-IB warned that the attacks, which began 18 months ago and allowed money to be stolen from banks' Automated Teller Machines (ATMs), appeared to be ongoing and that banks in Latin America could be targeted next. The first attack occurred in the spring of 2016 against banks in First Data's (FDC.N) "STAR" network, the largest U.S. bank messaging system connecting ATMs at more than 5,000 organisations, Group-IB researchers said in a 36-page report. It said it was investigating some incidents where hackers studied how to make money transfers through the SWIFT banking system, while stopping short of saying whether any such attacks had been carried out successfully. The Moscow-based security firm said the hacker group hired "money mules" to pick up money from automated teller machines. The security researchers said they had identified 18 banks which were hit, including 15 across 10 states in the United States, two in Russia and one in Britain. "The average amount of money stolen in each of the 14 U.S. ATM heists was 500,000 dollars per incident. Losses in Russia averaged 1.2 million dollars per incident."However, one bank there managed to catch the attack and return some of the stolen funds," Group-IB said. Group-IB said it had notified Interpol and Europol in order to assist in law enforcement investigations. The unidentified hackers used a mix of constantly changing tools and tactics to bypass anti-virus and other traditional security software while being careful to eliminate traces of their operations, helping them to go largely unnoticed. PUNCH Metro learnt that the 37-year-old Abia State indigene sold his daughter in September 2017 for N190,000 to the operator of an orphanage home in Aba, Abia State, through a self-acclaimed evangelist, Adaeze Obi. Two days after selling the daughter, he returned to his Lagos residence and reportedly lured Yanga out of the compound, while her mother was not at home. He was alleged to have subsequently taken him to Obi in Abia State, who linked him up with one Loveth Nwako. Nwako was said to have led Kingsley and Yanga to her sister in Anambra State. The sister, Ngozi, collected the child and gave the artisan N120,000. Our correspondent learnt that the suspects were arrested in November by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Lagos State Command, Ikeja, where Yanga's parents reported the case. Kingsley was paraded at the command headquarters in Ikeja on Monday along with two of the accomplices, Nwako and Obi. He told PUNCH Metro that he sold the children to raise funds for the burial of his father-in-law in Abia State. He said, "I am a bricklayer. My father-in-law died and we wanted to do his burial. Peoplr that owed me refused to pay me. I was living in Abia State before with my family. In July, I moved down to Lagos. Early in September 2017, I contacted a nurse called Patience that I wanted Chimamada to be at the orphanage for proper care. She works at a hospital where my wife gave birth to Chimamada. He said after much pressure from his wife on the whereabouts of their daughter, he opened up to her, adding that his wife reported him to the police in Abia State. "We later settled the case and our daughter was recovered from the orphanage. In November, policemen from Lagos came to pick me up in Abia State. Loveth (Nwako) and I led them to recover the boy as well," he added. The 38-year-old evangelist, Obi, said she got only N10,000 transport fare from Esther, the orphanage owner, adding that Kingsley lied to her (Obi). She said, "Patience contacted me. She said Kingsley told her that he had separated from his wife and that no one was taking care of their children. She asked me to direct him to an orphanage where he could take one of the children to. I took Kingsley to the Queen Esther Motherless Baby Home. He told the woman that he was stranded and needed money to pay house rent. Nwako, 49, said, "I attended Adaeze's ministry. I told her that my elder sister needed somebody to be helping her because of her health condition. When Kingsley brought the boy to her, she called me. Kingsley and I took the boy to my sister in Anambra State. He said he wanted the boy to be taken care of, but he needed N120,000 to pay house rent. I only helped my sister. Her daughter is observing her national youth service in Nasarawa State." The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, said the case came to the knowledge of the command on October 29, 2017, through Yanga's mother, Olabisi. The CP explained that Yanga was recovered at the Ajali village, Anambra State, adding that the suspects would soon be charged to court. He said, "She reported that her seven-year-old son was missing and all efforts to trace him proved abortive. Based on the report received, the command deployed a crack team of investigators drawn from SARS and arrested one Kingsley Oriaku. The team interrogated Kingsley, who confessed to sold the victim, Gabriel Yanga. | Why FG hasn’t prosecuted some treasury looters – Osinbajo Posted: 11 Dec 2017 09:40 PM PST  He disclosed this at the 2017 celebration of the International Anti-corruption Day organised by the Inter-agency Task Team in Abuja. He also stated that the government had succeeded in weeding out 50,000 ghost workers from its payroll in the last two years, while the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission had charged 17 suspects to court for allegedly contributing to the crime. The vice-president, who was represented by his Special Adviser on Rule of Law, Mr. Akingbolahan Adeniran, however explained that many assets were being recovered from those who stole from government. He said, "The administration has relied a lot on strategic advice, looking at the fight against corruption from a broad perspective, and basically relying on independent advice in order to move forward in fighting corruption. "It is focused a lot on prevention, and this is one aspect that a lot of people do not talk about so much. Then enforcement, this is the key aspect of the fight against corruption, there has to be accountability for those who basically violate the law. "Then asset recovery, which is a key element of the fight against corruption. As regards assets recovery, where there has been no conviction, it is because of the strategic advice that we were given." In a video taken by another passenger, the 24-year-old woman is seen berating a flight attendant while grabbing her belongings. "I have a destination for this. I have a destination for myself and I need to go there," she yells. "I swear, if you don't f---ing land, I will f---ing, kill everybody on this f---ing plane. I will kill everybody on this f---ing plane." According to the Sacramento Bee, the drama started when Curbelo went into the airplane's bathroom and tampered with the smoke detector so she could smoke a cigarette. | Policeman arrested over roles in child trafficking | Mr Olumide's Blog Posted: 11 Dec 2017 12:23 PM PST  Mark, who is also a prominent Evangelist of the Church of Christ, Seventh Day Adventist, Osaa-Ukwu, Obingwa local government area of the state, was arrested by the village vigilante who handed him over to the police. According to The Nation,he was subsequently detained at D7 in Umuahia, the state capital.The policeman was also accused of collecting N600, 000 from the sale of a child to unknown buyer. A source from Osaa-ukwu expressed shock at the release of the embattled policeman, saying "most of us were surprised." "Even me I was shocked. What happened was that some time ago, that was last month. A certain woman from my community connived with one man who owns a maternity home to sell her own baby for N600,000.
