SOAR TO SUCCESS with Pastor Olu Famous

Posted: 11 Dec 2017 03:48 AM PST

Something interesting is happening and I'm excited. The last two weeks have been wonderful. I got a lot of calls from people and for those who were ready, intervention started through prayers and some have already started seeing the difference between when they were struggling "blindly" and now that they are "cleansed" and are succeeding with clear knowledge and Divine Favour.

Most big Millionaires and Billionaires you know or are hearing about have Pastors praying for them and their endeavours. Big Entertainers, Politicians, MDs and CEOs have Pastors who pray for them.

Don't live by chance, hoping things will just change One Day. Many like that live and die struggling.

Some motivational speakers will tell you not to go to Pastor, but they are just interested in you coming to their seminar to pay for training, as that is their source of survival. Be guided!

Seek Prayers. Get cleansed Physically and Spiritually. You will see the DIFFERENCE in your life.

Okorocha Says 89 Percent of Nigerians Are Unhappy

Posted: 11 Dec 2017 03:48 AM PST

Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha has said that 89 per cent of Nigerians are unhappy "in the real sense of the word happiness".
According to him, only 4 percent could really be happy to some extent, while 7 percent might claim to be happy. He added that the vital aspect of human existence, which is happiness, must be addressed.

Governor Okorocha, who recently created the Ministry of Happiness and Purpose Fulfilment, spoke at the weekend when Airmen, led by the Air Officer Commanding Ground Training Command, AVM Sampson Akpasa, visited him at the Government House in Owerri.

He noted that agitations, insurgence, hate-speeches and the likes, come up when people are unhappy.

His words: "I thank you for your efforts in bringing Regiment 211 to Imo State. In appreciation, we have donated a 200-bed hospital to the force. This morning I spoke to the Chief of Air Force, about our intention to also donate the school to train electricians and artisans; you are doing a wonderful job.

"But if you can observe recently, the level of crisis and agitations are on the increase. While we fight insurgence, I would want to advise that we also should go deep down to find the root cause of this agitation.

"Agitation comes up when people are not happy, and the whole essence of life is to be happy. For this reason, I will advice that the Air Force too, just like I did recently, which most people didn't understand, should create a department for Happiness and Purpose Fulfilment. This will help to address the need of even junior officers, who may have some forms of dissatisfaction in the discharge of their duties. Sometimes, you may think they are happy when they are not, and this sabotages the efforts of the Federal Government.

"Mentorship is another aspect which can help people achieve their purpose in life. If people are happy, there will be less agitation. The amount of money we spend on aircrafts and in the purchase of arms would have reduced by 50 per cent. This could also end issues of restructuring, Niger Delta and all other forms of agitations…"

Posted: 11 Dec 2017 03:18 AM PST

The Imo State Police Command has arrested a six-woman-child-trafficking syndicate, which allegedly specialised in stealing children from churches and selling them to buyers.

Parading the suspects on Sunday, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Andrew Enwerem, a Superintendent of Police, said the prime suspect, Nnenna Njoku (32), allegedly used her 10-year-old daughter, Chinecherem Onyejiaka, to lure children from churches and homes to her mother.

The police spokesman, who identified the other suspects as Ijeoma Eboka, Irene Ogbuehi, Chinyere Mark, Perpetua Dike, Lilian Asoluka, Grace Ogueri and Edith Ejiaga, said investigation revealed that the number of children missing in the prime suspect's area of operation was nine.

Enwerem said, "After a thorough investigation, the prime suspect, Nnenna Njoku, a resident of Umuagwo in Imo State, was arrested.

"She was detained and later released on bail to help the police to track down other suspects she sold the children to. The prime suspect confessed to stealing three children.

"The other suspects were arrested and they made confessional statements, which led to the recovery of three children – Ezinne Nwosu (4), Chimjindum Felix (3),and Rejoice Ezirim (3)."

The police spokesman said the rescued children had been released to their biological parents.

"It is worthy of note that one Chimaobi Duru (4),was earlier recovered from the prime suspect, Nnenna Njoku, and has been released to his biological parents, Mr. and Mrs. Victor Duru from Anambra State. Effort is on to recover the remaining stolen children, "Enwerem added.

He said the state Commissioner of Police, Chris Ezike, had ordered that the suspects be charged to court to answer for their crime at the conclusion of investigations.

The prime suspect, a divorcee and mother of five children, told our correspondent that she made N380,000 from the sale of the three children to Eboka, an indigene of Delta state.

She said while she stole the children from different churches in Imo State, she took them to Eboka at different meeting points in Anambra State, who sold them to waiting buyers.

The second buyer, Ogbueri (45) from Orlu in Imo,confessed that she bought two children from Eboka for N600,000 each, while she sold them at N750,000 to Dike (60), and another buyer who's at large.

Woman Allegedly Killed By Banker Husband Buried In Lagos

Posted: 11 Dec 2017 03:18 AM PST

Tears flowed on Saturday on Ganiu Street, Bako Estate, in the Ketu area of Lagos State, as 28-year-old Maureen Adejo, allegedly beaten to death by her husband, Olaoluwa Adejo, was buried.

Present at the burial were friends and family members of the deceased.

The Punch had reported that 32-year-old Olaoluwa and the deceased, who hailed from Imo State, had been married for about five years.

The marriage, which was blessed with three children, was said to have been marred with disgreements as the bank worker later allegedly threatened to kill his wife.

She was said to have packed to her mother's house, but returned for a party at her children's school.

While Olaoluwa claimed that she took local insecticide, Sniper, their five-year-old son, Richard, said his father tortured his mother and forced the insecticide down her throat.

The case was subsequently transferred from the Oworonshoki Police Station to the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Yaba.

The detectives removed the corpse from the Gbagada General Hospital morgue where it was initially deposited by Olaoluwa, and took it to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, for autopsy.

The result of the autopsy was said to have been released to the police just as the Lagos State indigene was arraigned and remanded last Wednesday.

The hearse bearing the remains of the deceased reportedly left LASUTH around 11am on Saturday.

It was learnt that it arrived at the Apostolic Christian Church Mission, Ketu, where it was received by scores of residents and sympathisers.

The service of songs commenced at 12noon, as people paid tributes to the late Maureen.

The body was thereafter taken to the compound of her mother, Mrs. Kate Jonathan, where she was reportedly buried after a dust-to-dust rite.

It was said that the couple's first child, Richard, prayed on the body and waved her mother farewell.

Lagos Ministry of Justice had placed the three children in the custody of their maternal grandmother.

Jonathan confirmed the development to our correspondent on Sunday, lamenting the death of her daughter.

The grand mufti Abdulaziz al-Sheikh added:
"I hope those in charge of the entertainment authority are guided to turn it from bad to good and not to open doors to evil."

Buhari doesn’t understand how to run government –Agbakoba

Posted: 11 Dec 2017 02:53 AM PST

A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Dr. Olisa Agbakoba, has said President Muhammadu Buhari is bereft of the understanding of how a government should be run.

He also described the federal cabinet put together by Buhari as incompetent, saying the President is "sleeping on the job."

"Government's work is misunderstood even by the President. He doesn't understand the nature of how to run a government," Agbakoba told reporters in Lagos.

According to him, Buhari's government is performing poorly because a number of his ministers do not have the required competence to handle the portfolios assigned to them.

Examples of such ministers, he said, are Geoffrey Onyeama, a lawyer, appointed as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Kayode Fayemi, the Minister of Solid Minerals Development.

He said though Fayemi and Enyeama were brilliant men, they were round pegs in square holes.

"He (Buhari) needs to sack his entire cabinet because they have failed," Agbakoba said.

The lawyer also highlighted the objectives of the National Intervention Movement, which was recently floated by him and others.

Agbakoba explained that since the floating of the movement was reported in the media last week, people had inundated him with phone calls, asking him whether it was a new political party and how they could join.

He, however, clarified that "NIM is not a political party but a pressure group to put the government on its toes."

"Our objective is to mobilise Nigerians to hold government accountable at all levels. We want to grow by inspiring and supporting people to start small groups across the country," he said.

Agbakoba said the activities of the group would involve active use of the social media to sensitise Nigerians and sometimes hold rallies when necessary.

"It is going to be membership-based and we are going to have friends of the movement. We are not going to depend on anybody to fund us, we are going to ask Nigerians to fund us; send your N100, send your N200, because it will require a lot of resources. So, in one way, we want Nigerians to claim ownership of the movement. That's the structure," he said.

Agbakoba said like Buhari, the state governors had not fared better, describing Lagos State, for instance, as a broken city.

"Governor Ambode of Lagos State says that he runs either the third or fifth largest economy in Africa, but you are all in Lagos. This is a broken city, it is a completely broken city and in the index of the harshest cities to live in the world, Lagos is third from the last," Agbakoba said.

He added, "Ambode is fixing federal roads when Lagos State roads are deplorable.

"Okorocha is erecting statues of all kinds of people when Imo State owes pensioners.

"Wike is using Rivers State money to buy SUVs for members of the National Assembly."

Agbakoba said the high recurrent expenditure in the nation's budget exemplified Buhari's misunderstanding of how government should be run as well as lack of will power.

"The current budget is about N8tn; 70 per cent is for recurrent expenditure, that means salaries.

"Now, only three million people in Nigeria, working with the Federal Government, 'chop' all that money to the exclusion of the 180 million people. So, where's the fairness? Three million people and 70 per cent, and the remainder 30 per cent for 180 million people."

Lagos Baale Crushes His Wife To Death With Jeep

Posted: 11 Dec 2017 02:18 AM PST

A traditional ruler in Ise Town, Ibeju Lekki, Lagos State, Taibu Ogunbanjo, is currently cooling his heels in police custody for allegedly crushing his wife to death.

The baale runs a block-moulding factory at Folu, a community in Ibeju Lekki.

learnt that Taibu and his wife, Rotimi Ogunbanjo, got married three years ago, but the marriage had been fraught with misunderstanding and fights.

On Thursday, December 7, the couple reportedly had a disagreement. After the altercation, Rotimi was said to have gone to the baale's factory and damaged some blocks on the premises.

Taibu reportedly entered his Toyota Highlander, and was driving out of the premises in anger when he knocked down his wife.

A community leader, who identified himself simply as Akinsipe, said the wife died on the spot, adding that the corpse had been deposited at the Epe General Hospital.

He said, "He (Taibu) is the baale of the community. He and his wife had been having issues since they got married. I did not know what actually happened between them on that day, but I learnt that they had a disagreement in the morning.

"She went to his block factory and destroyed some blocks arranged on the premises. He entered his vehicle angrily and as he was driving out of the premises, the wife tried to stop him. He hit her and she died on the spot."

Akinsipe stated that the matter was reported at the Akodo Police Station, adding that the baale had been arrested.

A police source told Punch that the suspect's family reported at the police station that the death resulted from an accident.

The source said, "The baale and the woman got married three years ago without a child and they had been having disagreements. On that particular day, she destroyed some blocks at the industry. The man became angry and as he was driving out, he crushed her with his vehicle on the factory premises.

"The relations of the suspect have said that it was a case of an accident. But looking at the circumstances surrounding the incident, the accident claim is untenable.

"He could not have lost control of the vehicle on the premises as a result of speeding. There is a limit to the speed the car can go on the premises."

Lagos Police Public Relations Officer, SP Chike Oti, who confirmed Rotimi's death, said the command would investigate the matter to unravel the motive behind the baale's action.

He said, "We are investigating the matter to find out what transpired between the man and his wife before the incident happened. They were having family issues, which led the woman to the block industry to destroy things.

"We want to know whether what the man did was a reaction to what his wife did. We believe there is more to the 'accident' than meets the eye because there was an altercation between them before the incident occured."

The PPRO added that the case had been transferred to the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Yaba.

Ageing Brit dumped by internet lover after he travels to see her without a penny | Mr Olumide's Blog

Posted: 11 Dec 2017 01:47 AM PST

An ageing Brit looking for love has become an accidental star in the Dominican Republic after the internet girlfriend he flew out to meet turned her back on him - because he is penniless.

Struggling mum-of-four Wilfa Soto Peguero claimed she agreed to get to know middle-aged Glyn Thomas Bailey in person after he offered to help her raise her children.

But she claims when she went to pick him up at the airport he had no ticket back home and no money.Wilfa ended up turning herself - and Glyn - into the most talked-about couple in the Caribbean nation after recording a social media video pleading for someone to take him off her hands because she didn't have the money to feed him.

Newspapers and TV stations in the Dominican Republic have raked over Glyn's numerous social media profiles, spurning internet parodies in which the Welshman is portrayed as a fake Prince Charming.
Local teenagers have even posted an improvised rap on YouTube summarising the real-life soap opera - featuring him smiling and nodding in the background in apparent ignorance of what they are singing about.

News of the doomed love affair broke after Wilfa posted a sob-story video online revealing how she could no longer maintain Glyn and begging for help to send him back to Britain after a Caribbean stay thought to have last for several weeks.

Revealing she agreed to meet him after a six-month Internet affair using Google Translate. In their chats, she says he admitted he wasn't wealthy but promised to help her raise her children, including two young daughters still living with her.

She said:
"I asked him to send me money so I could go and fetch him from the airport and he never sent me anything.
"But as he was coming to meet me I couldn't just abandon him like he was a nobody so I decided to borrow money to go to the airport.

"Later when I checked his ticket I realised he'd come with the intention of staying here and I can't look after him.

"I have explained it to him a thousand ways. If I had my own house I'd let him stay but I don't." "I've got to look after him because he hasn't got any money."I've got my heart and I'm not going to refuse him food when he's not giving me any money but I can't look after him."

She told a local TV station afterwards, flanked by sunburnt Glyn, while standing near a rented property where she lives in Castillo del Hato near the city of Cotui.

She said:
"I wasn't looking for a man for money. We simply got to know each chatting over the Internet.

"I prefer to be poor and happy, not rich and unhappy and I want Glyn back in Britain so people stop talking about me and criticising me.

"I've been left with a debt of £240 I borrowed to go and pick him up at Punta Cana International Airport which I haven't asked him for because I'm going to pay it back myself however I have to."
She also claimed she had already been visited by British diplomats, who were last night said to be assisting Glyn.

Wilfa's neighbour Kevin Osiris Mendez, among well-wishers said to have helped feed and lodge Glyn over the past few weeks in their neighbourhood where he became a local talking point.

She told the TV station: "We've all been worried. I'm a friend of Wilfa's and a friend of the family and this has been a headache for us.

"I helped her as much as I could with temporary accommodation for this man."

The intriguing episode has divided people in the Dominican Republic, where it has featured heavily on news bulletins and current affairs programmes.

Local Lola Segura wrote:
"This woman turned her back on him because he didn't have money so she wasn't in love."
Cintia Yudelka added:
"The poor man came to the Caribbean and found what he wasn't looking for.
But Angela Acosta claimed:
"This man is not normal. How could he live his homeland without any money with plans to stay in a foreign country."
Facebook friends on one of Glyn's social media profiles, saying he is living in Rhymney in south east Wales, are all women with around 25 of the 70-plus females from around the world appearing to come from the Dominican Republic.

Dominican Republic daily Diario Libre reported said the British Embassy in the capital Santo Domingo had agreed to assist Mr Bailey after a hospital check-up.

A spokesperson for The Foreign and Commonwealth Office told the Mirror Online: "Our staff in the Dominican Republic are offering assistance to a British man and are in contact with the local authorities."

EFCC freezes N905m in suspected slush account after man tries to withdraw it | Mr Olumide's Blog

Posted: 10 Dec 2017 11:37 PM PST

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has frozen about N905, 941,696.87 in an account traced to a sole proprietorship company Rivlink International.

The huge inflows into the suspected slush account allegedly came from the Rivers State Environmental Sanitation Authority

The owner of the company, Christian Robinson, is deceased.

A man, Kenneth Koroma, made futile attempts to withdraw the cash.

A source said: "The EFCC received an intelligence report on November 2 alleging that a sole proprietorship firm, Rivlink International, had huge inflows from the Rivers State Environmental Sanitation Authority in an account with a new generation bank. The said account had a closing balance of N905, 941,696.87.

The company was registered in 2000 using a fictitious name of one Christian Robinson. But the account was opened in 2001 as sole proprietorship with Mr. Christian Robinson as the sole proprietor.

"He, however, appointed Mr. Kenneth Koroma as the sole signatory to the account for the purpose of money laundering.

"Covert intelligence revealed that the sole proprietor, Christian Robinson, is deceased and the trustee, Kenneth Koroma, has been making frantic efforts to withdraw the funds, which had been on fixed deposit.

"Sometimes in June 2017, Koroma wrote the bank requesting it to liquidate the fixed deposit and transfer the balance to an account number 0037907856 of a company, OLF Enterprise, also operated by him.

"Unknown to Koroma, the proprietor had changed him as a signatory to Rivlink International's account before he died.

"The bank insisted that it could not release the N905m to Koroma because he had ceased to be the sole signatory to the account of Rivlink International. Relevant documents were shown to him on how the owner of the company effected the change of signatory."

Another source said: "Following intelligence report and an alarm by the bank, EFCC detectives decided to trace the inflows into the company's account.

"We discovered that the inflows were coming in bits into the account of Rivlink over the years from the sanitation agency without any evidence of contracts carried out.

"We are suspecting the account to be a slush type which cannot be operated again because the sole proprietor is dead.

"Further inquiry to ascertain the legitimacy or otherwise of the said funds is in progress. However, the EFCC has obtained a Freeze Order from the court pending the outcome of ongoing investigation."

The source added: "Certainly, if we were able to establish that the cash was a product of money laundering from the coffers of Rivers State Government, it will be forfeited and we may have to recover it for the state."

How To Get More Blessings With Less of Yourself and More of The Lord

Posted: 10 Dec 2017 11:18 PM PST

Today I came to the end of myself.

You know that place? The place where you're convinced that the more you insist on your own rights, the more frustrated you will be. The place where you realize that the more you pursue life for yourself, the further from Christ you will be. The place where you ultimately realize there must be more of Jesus and less of you.

For so long my life has consisted of wanting more of everything else... more time, more money, more energy, more creativity, more discipline, more willpower, more motivation.

Yet the only thing I really need more of is Jesus. And I definitely need less of me.

For a long time, it's been about equal in my life. Half Jesus. Half me. But Jesus wants me to be all Him. He demands and deserves to be the sole deity in my life. He isn't interested in a dual reign or a joint partnership.

Jesus said it Himself. "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth" (Matthew 6:24, NIV).

You cannot serve God and self, either.

Jesus also said in Matthew 16:24 "If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me." But what does it mean to deny myself? How can you and I deny ourselves in a society that shouts "Love your body" "Love Yourself" and "Love Your Selfie!"? How can you and I, like John the Baptist, live by the motto "He must increase, but I must decrease" (John 3:30,NASB)?

It means reversing the way we naturally think and act. It means putting Christ in the place where we would normally put ourselves. It means having:
  • Less concern for how others see you and more concern for how others see Jesus.
  • Less focus on what you deserve from others and more focus on what you owe Christ.
  • Less preoccupation with your perceived rights and more focus on what it means to be a servant of God.
So what does that look like in a practical way? As I began to flesh it out I found there was less focus on my flesh and more focus on Him. I couldn't help but want more of Jesus and less of me. You can train your heart to do the same as you practice these five steps:

1. Find Your Identity – and Worth  in Him.
It's easy to find our self worth in our education, accomplishments, titles and positions. We can even find our self worth in our possessions – the higher the salary, the nicer the car, and the bigger the home, the more successful you must be. But the Apostle Paul said "I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord…" (Philippians 3:8, ESV). Our identity and worth must be rooted in the fact that we are sinners saved by the grace of Jesus Christ alone, adopted into His family, and called His children. You and I are redeemed slaves, orphans who have been adopted and called heirs, beggars who have been given a seat at His table. That reminder alone keeps us from exalting ourselves over God and others, and makes us aware that everything we have has been given to us.

2. Forfeit Your Will to His.
Your marching order as a follower of Christ is spelled out in Galatians 2:20: "I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me." This life is not your own. So if you've died to self, there's no more of you – only Him living through you. With each choice that comes your way, you exercise more of Him and less of you when you ask "God, how would you decide this? What would You want? I'm Yours, so the choice is Yours, too."

3. Fill Up on His Thoughts, Not Yours.
You and I must be fully saturated in the Word of God or we will let the godless philosophies of this world govern our hearts and minds. And that's another way to have more of us and less of Him. Romans 12:2 instructs us not to be conformed to this world but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds so that we can prove what the perfect will of God is. What fills your thoughts each day? God's Word or the words of people? Praises for Him or the proud, lustful, me-first lyrics of music that dominates the airwaves? What you focus your mind on will determine if there's more of Jesus or more of you.

4. Filter Your Behavior.
Here's where we need the Holy Spirit's help. Throughout God's Word we are told to control our speech, our thought life, and our actions. As we let no unwholesome talk come out of our mouths (Ephesians 4:29), we are acting more like Jesus than ourselves. As we focus on whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable (Philippians 4:8), we'll be focusing on God, not ourselves. As we are quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger (James 1:19), we will take in more information and think more carefully before responding. That is exercising more of the wisdom of Jesus and less of the foolishness of ourselves.

5. Focus on the New You, Not the Old One.
How many times have you heard a follower of Christ excuse their outburst of anger, their rudeness, or their foolish or dysfunctional behavior by saying "I'm sorry. I'm just that way." To have more of Jesus and less of you is to realize that Jesus died to make the you that is just that way, become just like Him. If you've surrendered your life to Christ and possess His divine nature, you have more of a potential within you to be like Jesus than to be like your own earthly parents. So live as the new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). The old you is gone. The new you – consumed by Christ – has come.

Seahawks defensive end Quinton Jefferson tried to fight a fan who hurled a drink him.

Jefferson was walking off the field after being ejected for his involvement in a scrum between the Seahawks and Jaguars. As Jefferson was walking towards the locker room, he pelted with multiple drinks, causing him to take off his helmet and turn back around.

Jefferson then proceeded to trade barbs with multiple Jaguars fans as security tried to defuse the situation.

After several tense moments, Jefferson appeared ready to walk away from the situation before a fan threw another drink at him, this one nearly hitting him in the head.

Jefferson then broke away from a security personnel's grasp and attempted to leap into the stands and engage with the fan. Security was able to pull Jefferson down from the wall seconds before the situation could have potentially taken a dangerous turn for the worse and escort him into the locker room as a another drink was thrown in his direction.

"I'm not going to let someone disrespect me like that," Jefferson said of the fan, per Bleacher Report.

Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll admitted Jefferson "kinda lost it."

Jefferson will most likely be suspended and receive a hefty fine for his actions,NY Daily reported.
