Three police officers and a man have been arrested for allegedly kidnapping and abducting people. According to multiple reports, the policemen are identified as Aliyu, Sani, Belli and one civilian who was allegedly given them information about victims to kidnap in Kaduna state. I have always been a God fearing girl, my relationship with the Holy Spirit is one that gets stronger by the day. Am grateful for being connected to a great man of God David Ibiyeomie whom through his teachings and books have brought me closer to God. There's a difference between having a relationship with the Holy Spirit and being religious. Am glad I can boldly say I belong to Jesus Christ because I really fear and try my best to obey all I see in His word with the Help of my Sweet Holy Spirit. Before now I was just that young girl that wanted everything some girls thought are the priorities in life. So back then I dated married men whom will end up loving me so much and doing all I asked, thereby spending less time with their wives. Back then it felt good to be loved and taken care by someone's husband and it seemed normal. But as God may have it i became born again. Attended WOLBI (WORD OF LIFE BIBLE SCHOOL) in Salvation Ministries. I encountered light and stopped everything that has to do with married men and all they had to offer despite the pressure. I became content with what I have and trust me God didn't lie when He said that He will provide everything I needed if I seek Him first. Letting go of that completely doesn't make me a perfect girl because no one is perfect but it felt good to go into a covenant with God, and watch Him fulfill His own part. The transformation didn't end there cause I still had other things I was doing that doesnt glorify God. I use to smoke and mastubate a lot and that made me have less friends and because I didn't want the dirty habits known publicly. Though After WOLBI I stopped smoking and mastubating for a while, after some time ,i backslided and became worst with the habits. I smoke all the time coupled with the challenges i was going through then. In the midst of this I still loved God,kept praying and asking for mercy especially after each action. Am grateful to God because I know He has healed me completely and this is the proof that am free from that demonic influence because ... I kept praying and asking for mercy especially after each act. I practiced this secretly because I didn't want my sister to know about it and especially the public,I didn't want to mislead my fans because everyone's grace differs. Again for the ones that still date married men cause of money, please stop because the consequences are generational. Same money you will get if you work hard and be content. I wish I can explain better than this but am not a pastor, am just a young girl that has surrendered totally to the Lordship of our Lord Jesus Christ. And for those struggling to stop any habit, don't be too hard on yourself. Just keep asking the Holy Spirit for help. One day you will testify like me. My testimony isn't here for you to judge me or unfriend me because the truth is bitter. I am not judging anyone as well. I believe there's hope for everyone. | Posted: 20 Nov 2017 02:07 AM PST  The Commissioner of Police in Rivers State, Mr. Zaki Ahmed, who disclosed this, weekend, in Port Harcourt, said the Police relied on DNA samples and pieces of other evidence to arrest one of the alleged killers, one Nwankwor, who worked in the same Shell premises with the deceased. Continuing, the Police chief said the alleged murderer led the Police to arrest his alleged accomplice, adding that the two were assisting the Police with further investigations on the issue. Ahmed explained that the Police took samples of evidence found at the scene of the murder, adding that about 50 suspects were invited for questioning. He said the samples taken were later sent for analysis, adding that some of them matched the DNA of the prime suspect, who later confessed to the crime during interrogation. His words: "Investigation into the case commenced in earnest with the main focus on the use of forensic science. Consequently, DNA samples, pieces of physical evidence and eyewitnesses' accounts were deployed in tackling this case. "In the course of our investigation, we invited 50 suspects, made up of contract and security staff of SPDC, for questioning. "They were unconditionally released on bail after recording their statements and obtaining relevant forensic exhibits, which were later processed and forwarded to the appropriate laboratories for analysis and report. "After three months of submitting the forensic exhibits, a match was found, identified as that of Nwankor, aged 40, a staff of a sub-contracting firm with SPDC. "After being confronted with overwhelming evidence, he broke down in tears and confessed to have carried out the acts that led to the death of Cletus Onyekwere. Manson, who was surrounded by five uniformed cops, died at 8:13 p.m. local time. | Faces of Wife who Stabbed Ex-PDP Chairman's Son to Death Posted: 19 Nov 2017 11:45 PM PST  Bilyamin is a son of a former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and one-time minister, Dr. Haliru Bello. His wife, who is the suspect, is a daughter of former Aso Savings boss, Hajia Maimuna Aliyu, who was recently nominated into the board of the ICPC. The couple before the weekend tragic incident had a one-year old daughter. "The FCT Police Command has commenced investigation into the matter. "The case has been transferred to the Homicide Section for discreet investigation," spokesman Anjuguri Manzah stated in a text message last night. The suspect is being detained by the police while the deceased was buried yesterday after the Janazarprayer at the Central Mosque in Abuja. Maryam was taken to her residence by homicide detectives for a search, fingerprints and forensic investigation. She was saved from being mobbed by angry siblings and relatives of the deceased husband. Clinging to her seven-month old baby girl, Maryam, who looked remorseful, burst into tears after being led into the flat where she allegedly killed her husband. According to sources, the jealous wife was uncomfortable with the text messages her late husband had been receiving from some women. It was gathered that a particular message from a banker made the wife to attack her husband. The source added: "They were at home when the wife became berserk over some text messages, including one allegedly suspected to be from a female banker. "After engaging in a shouting match, the wife was embroiled in fighting with her husband before heading to the kitchen where she picked a knife to stab Bilyamin three times, including on his private parts. "Drenched with blood, Bilyamin fought hard by crawling out of the couple's flat to ask for help from neighbours. "Upon hearing his distress call, neighbours, who had heard the exchange of words and banging of doors at the flat, ferried Bilyamin to a hospital. "Unfortunately, the husband died in the hospital. The incident was reported to the police and Maryam was arrested by homicide detectives." Maryam is a graduate with two degrees from British university. In a Whatsapp message yesterday afternoon, her mother Hajia Aliyu expressed shock and feeling of loss over the sad development. "It is with a heavy heart but with total submission to the will of Allah that I announce the death of my son in-law, Bilyamin Bello Haliru, which sad event took place in the early hours of today. "Prayers will be held at the Central Mosque... "May Allah grant his soul Aljannah Firdaus as his permanent place of abode," the grieving mother in-law stated. There had been whispers of a rocky relationship in a marriage meant to bring two prominent families together but allegations of infidelity and plans to marry another wife might have caused the insecurity in Bilyamin's Maitama home. | Woman Arrested, Arraigned For Alleged N7million Fraud Posted: 19 Nov 2017 11:45 PM PST  Martins, of Plot 6, Afolabi Femi Street, All Saint Road, Idi-Ishin, Ibadan, is facing a five-count charge on obtaining money under false pretence. The prosecutor, Salewa Ahmed, said the accused committed the offences between 2014 and 2015. He said: "Martins fraudulently collected N6 million from Osubu Adenike on the pretext of selling shares of First City Monument Bank to her. "She also fraudulently collected N1million from Florence Oluwawemida on the pretext of selling shares to her, knowing same to be false." Ahmed said the accused converted the N7million collected from the complainants to her use. The accused pleaded not guilty. The Magistrate, Mrs. M.A. Amole-Ajimoti, granted the accused bail at N500,000 with two sureties. Ambode spoke at a recent interactive session with members of the business community and informal sector, a statement by the governor's Chief Press Secretary, Habib Haruna, said on Sunday. "Presently, we have less than 1,000MW in Lagos and the fundamental issues remain with generation, transmission and distribution. Transmission is still owned primarily by the Federal Government. But in Lagos State, we have become creative and we have done Independent Power Project through which we were able to generate 47.5MW which was distributed short-circuiting transmission. "So, if it works, does it look like a template we can now use to get power freedom or what we call power security? If we say we are the fifth largest economy in Africa and we are not in control of how power is generated in an economy that wants to move from fifth to third, then something is wrong. "So, what we are saying is, let's find a way to short-circuit them within the ambit of the law," the governor was quoted as saying. | Alex Ekwueme Dies In London Hospital Posted: 19 Nov 2017 10:55 PM PST  The statement, signed by his brother, and the traditional ruler of Oko, Igwe Laz Ekwueme, explained that he passed on around 10:00 pm on Sunday, in a London hospital. The statement read... "Ekwueme family regrets to announce the peaceful passing away of their patriarch, the former Vice-President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr. Alex Ifeanyichukwu Ekwueme, GCON. "The sad event occurred at the London Clinic at 10:00 pm on Sunday, 19th November, 2017." It would be recalled that Ekwueme was hospitalised in Memfys Neurosurgery Hospital, Enugu, for about two weeks before he was flown abroad for medical treatment on November 12. The elder statesman was rushed to the hospital after collapsing at his residence in the Independence Layout area of Enugu on October 28. | Snake charmer loses son to snake bite | Mr Olumide's Blog Posted: 19 Nov 2017 10:12 PM PST  The incident reportedly occurred on November 5, 2017 at Kuringata Village, Kafur Local Government Area of Katsina State. Saidu was said to have allowed the boy to play with a snake. The police, in the charge filed against Saidu before a Katsina State Senior Magistrate's Court, said the father 'indulged' his boy by permitting him to hold a snake which bit him, resulting in his death,PUNCH reports. The boy was said to have died at Malumfashi General Hospital where he was rushed to for treatment after being bitten by a snake. | Lagos Bus Conductors to wear uniforms from Jan.1, 2018 Posted: 19 Nov 2017 09:55 PM PST  Isreal Adeshola, National President of the association, disclosed this in a chat with NAN in Lagos. Adeshola said the operational uniform would bring sanity to the service in the state and the country. According to him, the association has started training its members in Lagos State and educating them on the job procedures and attitudinal change while on duty. "The association has been able to train a reasonable number of conductors on behavioural change. "We started the registrations and training at Lagos State Drivers Institute for attitudinal and change in orientation of the members toward passengers and traffic rules. "By Jan.1, 2018, all our registered members will be in their operational uniforms for proper identification and effective service delivery," he said. The president explained that part of the reasons for training its members was to ensure adequate security of passengers and good customer relationship with the people they relate with. He said that putting on uniforms with identification numbers would ensure accountability and brought sense of responsibility among the members. Adeshola said that the association was working towards eradicating the menace of using under-age as bus conductors across the country. He announced that persons from 18 years and above were qualified to join the association. The president added that any minor found operating as a bus conductor should be arrested. "We are coming out to tell Lagos residents that bus conducting is a respected profession like in other western countries where they are respected because they offered humanitarian services. "In Nigeria, people see them as nobody which is not supposed to be so," he said. NAN reports that Mr Rotimi Amaechi, the Minister of Transport had said that the introduction of uniforms for bus conductors would ensure safety and bring more development to the nation's transport sector. Amaechi spoke at the inauguration of the official uniforms for members of the Bus Conductor Association of Nigeria (BCAN), Lagos State chapter, on Thursday August 2, at Sheraton Hotels, Ikeja, Lagos.
