The Cross River State Police Command has arrested a Mrs. Udoka Sunday for allegedly allowing the three men pictured above to sexually abuse her 12-year-old first daughter in Calabar. According to report, Mrs. Udoka, would collect money from various men to sleep with the girl. She has been doing this for long and mostly with elderly men, who are above 50 and mostly those receiving pension, because that is how she ensures that money keeps coming."

LOL! Yeni Kuti Says We Need Juju To Fight Corruption

Posted: 10 Aug 2017 04:26 AM PDT

The late Fela's first daughter, Yeni, in a chat with Jimi Disu' of the Classic FM during a radio show, stated that the Federal Government should consider adopting traditional African medicine (also known as 'juju') as a tool for fighting corruption, especially in political offices.

Read what she said below:
"Just as Sophie Oyewole has suggested, let them use it to swear in government officials and we shall see if anybody will continue to steal our money in this country or not. I am sure that if they are made to swear by Ogun or some other fearsome African deity, there will be no more corruption."
What shall it profit you to grab money because God doesn't kill instantly and still lose your soul?

Man Allegedly Beats His Wife to Death in Lagos, Claims She Committed Suicide

Posted: 10 Aug 2017 04:26 AM PDT

Homicide investigators of the State Criminal Investigations Department, SCID, Lagos Command, are working to unravel circumstances surrounding the death of a woman allegedly beaten to death by her 42-year-old husband at Oko-oba area of Lagos.

The suspect, John Owobi, is currently being detained by detectives at the SCID, Panti, Yaba, for murder, after allegedly committing the act and forcing his three kids to tell neighbours that their mother died after drinking Snipper, a poisonous insecticide.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Bolaji Salami, said the lifeless body of the wife, Theresa, was found lying on the floor of their apartment at No 42 Musiliu Street, Oko-oba by neighbours.

To cover up his track, the husband was said to have persuaded his children not to say anything contrary to what he had told their landlord. A source at SCID revealed that the neighbours were attracted to the scene by the persistent cry for help from the deceased on the day she died, though the suspect had told his neighbours that his wife of about 15 years died after she drank poison.

The suspect further alleged that he had earlier tried to prevent his wife from committing suicide, but that he was shocked hours later when he discovered that she had gulped a full bottle of Snipper.

Luck, however, ran against the suspect, when his three children insisted that their dad had actually instructed them to say that their mum died after drinking insecticide.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Olarinde Famous-Cole, who confirmed the incident, said an autopsy conducted on the woman revealed that the deceased suffered internal injuries and fractures from the beating she received.

He said: "The suspect killed his wife and still went to the station to report that the deceased was found lying dead on the floor in their room. He claimed that his wife drank Snipper, but investigation revealed that the suspect beat up the wife to death."

FLASH: Almost 100 Aides In Saraki's Office Sacked

Posted: 10 Aug 2017 04:26 AM PDT

Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, has sacked 98 of his aides. An aide of the senate president confirmed this to The Cable on Thursday.

The office of the senate president had conducted a staff audit earlier in the year to thin down the number of aides, which was about 300.

According to the aide, Arthur Ndiwe, Saraki's director of protocol, and Folashade Adigun, head of administration, were among those laid off.

But Yusuph Olaniyonu, special adviser on media to the senate president, said he was not aware of the mass sack. "I am not aware of any sack. I am still at work," he said.

Isa Galaudu, Saraki's former chief of staff, resigned in January in the heat of impending shake-up.

The exercise is believed to be a way of cutting down cost.

There are currently about 4,600 legislative aides at the national assembly.

Lagos Speaker Loses N9.2M To Facebook Hackers

Posted: 10 Aug 2017 03:56 AM PDT

Three men accused of cyber crime and theft of N9.2m, property of Lagos State House Speaker, have been sent to Ikoyi Prison by a Federal High Court in Lagos, after they were docked.

The men - Frank Nwokobia, 27, Ezeoke Kanayochukwu, 25, and Godwin Essien, 28 - were charged by the State CID of the Lagos Police Command.
Police said the three men conspired to hack the Facebook account of the Speaker of Lagos House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, and also gained access to his account at Guaranty Trust Bank, where they stole his N9, 188,100.

The men, arrested in Delta state, were all arraigned before Justice (Professor) Chuka Obiozor, on five count charge of conspiracy, impersonation, and theft.

The Police prosecutor Barrister Williams Olu Ologun informed the court that the three accused were arrested in Delta State, after Obasa, petitioned the police that his Facebook account had been hacked into and that the sum of N9.188,100 million had been withdrawn from his account by unidentified individuals.

He also stated that upon the arrest of the accused , they voluntarily made statement admitting being into cyber crime business.

The offences alleged to have been committed by the accused persons are contrary to sections 27(1)(b) and 22(2)(b)(ii) of Cybercrimes Prohibition and Prevention Act, 2015.

The three accused pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Justice Chuka Obiozor, admitted the accused to bail in the sum of N5 million with one surety each.

The surety must be recommended by their lawyer, who must be resident of Lagos State, with landed property and three year tax payment.

Thereafter, Justice Obiozor ordered that the three accused be remanded in the prison custody ,pending the perfection of their bail conditions.

Second thoughts? Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt put a hold on divorce | Mr Olumide's Blog

Posted: 10 Aug 2017 03:27 AM PDT

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have stalled their legal separation from each other, and may never see it through.

Speaking to US Weekly a source claimed the two stars, who split 11 months ago, have not moved forward with proceedings to end their marriage.

An insider told the magazine:

"The divorce is off. They haven't done anything to move it forward in several months and no one thinks they are ever going to."
Jolie's indecision they say is based on passion for her partner of 12 years "She's still so in love with him." the source said

It also has to do with Brad Pitt's GQ interview where he said he is trying to be better and even gave up drinking, the major source of their problems. He said
"And it's hit me smack in the face with our divorce: I gotta be more. I gotta be more for them. I have to show them. And I haven't been great at it.
And his decision to ditch alcohol was a great first step.
"He got sober to try and win her back," explains the source. "He knew he had a problem that he had to take care of. And that's all she ever wanted.""Everyone thinks they are going to get back together," says the source. "It wouldn't be surprising if they announced that they're calling it off and trying to work things out."

The Many Ways God Transforms A Marriage When Couples Pray Together

Posted: 10 Aug 2017 02:57 AM PDT

I can say from personal experience that praying with my husband has been such a blessing to our marriage. Anytime we take time out of our schedules to come together before God in prayer is never a waste and I'm sure the same is or can be true for you too. Here are some of the benefits we've experience by praying together.

1) Prayer Keeps You Humble
When you pray together as a couple and present your requests and thanksgiving to God it reminds you that you need God in your lives. Prayer helps a wife and husband keep in mind that we don't have to nor should we think we can have a successful marriage on our own. When we pray together we invite the power and strength of God in our marriages to do His part and to help us to do ours.

2) Prayer Helps You to Work Together
Praying together ensures that you make time to connect. With busy schedules and endless demands it's easy to become like two ships sailing past one another in the night. When you take time to pray together you have to pause and remember that your connection with your spouse goes farther than just being roommates and you are reminded of the sacred bond that you two share.

3) Prayer Reminds You God is in Your Relationship Too
Praying to God together is a great reminder for the both of you that this relationship consists of more than just the two of you. You are reminded that God is the head of your relationship and you don't have to navigate marriage alone. God is with you helping, guiding, and comforting you all along this journey. This is an important reminder to have when times get challenging.

4) Prayer Increases Intimacy
Praying together brings a couple closer together. It is a very intimate thing to open up in front of one another and share your unspoken prayer requests. You'll be amazed at what you may learn your spouse is going though or what desires are on their heart as you pray together. There are certain things your spouse may share in prayer that they may not think to share in a one-on-one conversation. This presents a great opportunity to learn your spouse in a new way.

5) Prayer Keeps You on One Accord
As you pray together and for one another you'll realize it helps you to stay on the same page. Communicating with God in this way ensures you stay in agreement about the focus of your marriage and that you are both seeking the same solutions for the issues you may be facing.

6) Praying Together is an Act of Love
Praying for your spouse is an act of love and when they know you are praying for them it better helps your spouse to feel that love. There's no better way to let your spouse know you are praying for them than to pray with them.

7) Prayer Helps You Appreciate What You Have Together
When you pray together and thank God for what you have it helps you to both keep a thankful heart. This in turn helps you to appreciate what you do have and not to become distracted and discouraged with what you may not have.

If you and your spouse don't pray together I suggest you try it out. Make it simple and short if you don't have much time but just do it. It does not have to be fancy and long. Trust me God can do a lot with a little and a little prayer is better than no prayer. Jesus tells us:

"Where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them."
- Matthew 18:20[NIV]

If your spouse doesn't want to pray with you I suggest that you don't pressure them but do keep praying for your marriage and know that God can and will still move in your marriage and family.

I hope you now feel encouraged to pray as a couple and I'm excited for what transformation it will bring to your marriage.

This 91yrs Old Grandma Is The Oldest Women To Graduate From University

Posted: 10 Aug 2017 02:27 AM PDT

A 91yrs old grandma became the oldest person to graduate from university in Thailand. She made record on Wednesday, receiving her bachelor's degree from King Maha Vajiralongkorn.

Escorted by her family, Madam Kimlun Jinakul traveled more than 700km from the northern province of Phayao to Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University, near Bangkok, to receive her bachelor's degree in human ecology.

In her words, "It has always been my dream to continue my studies."

Madam Kimlun told a TV station, Thai PBS, that she had finished junior high school but couldn't continue her education at the time because her family couldn't finance it.

Kimlun said: "When I was young, I actually received good grades. I have always enjoyed reading. I even bought manuals to educate myself so I could help my children with their homework."

Kimlun said she became inspired to continue her formal studies in 2011, once her children and grandchildren had received university educations and found decent jobs.

"It's never too late to study," she said.

"She is a very determined person," said Bhum Juasiripakdee, one of Kimlun's grandchildren.

"We all support her while making sure she remains in good health."
The grandma added, "The university provided me with a lot of conveniences. They allocated rooms on the ground floor for me so I did not have to climb the stairs."

The university is the first in Thailand to offer distance learning to elderly people. About 200 people older than 60 have enrolled.

Army to Boko Haram: Surrender now or die like dogs

Nigerian Army•As fighter jets destroy terrorists hideout

By Ese Awhotu

The Nigerian Army has called on the remnants of Boko Haram terrorists to surrender or die like dogs.
The army said this call became necessary because the ideology of the Boko Haram is dead and no longer tenable.
The army stated this in a statement signed by Brigadier General Sani Kukasheka Usman Director Army Public Relations and released to the media yesterday in Abuja.
"This is to call on the remnants of Boko Haram terrorists wherever you are hiding, to give up forthwith. This is because your ideology of Boko Haram is dead and no longer tenable.
"There is no reason to be suffering or fighting a lost cause. As you are aware, your leaders have abandoned you and could no longer be of any help to you.
"Therefore you should all surrender to avoid dying like dogs because of the ongoing concerted military clearance operations," the army told Boko Harm terrorists
Meanwhile, the Nigerian Air Force said yesterday that it has destroyed a Boko Haram hideout in the Sambisa region.
According to a statement by Olatokunbo Adesanya, Air Commodore, Director of Public Relations & Information, Nigerian Air Force, said on 8 August 2017, the Air Component detailed fighter aircraft to strike the Boko Haram hideout in succession.
It said, "Following the first and second strikes, the building was completely destroyed and the location was strafed during the third attack. The fourth attack was re-directed to a close by building, where BHT activity was also noticed. Subsequent Battle Damage Assessment revealed that the BHT hideout was completely reduced to rubble and several BHTs were killed while a few of them were seen evacuating the casualties."
NAF, said that action was in furtherance of operations to completely defeat the Boko Haram Terrorists (BHT) Organization.
Adding that, "On 7 August 2017, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Component of Operation LAFIYA DOLE conducted Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) mission over Parisu, in the Sambisa general area. During the ISR mission, a large group of Boko Haram Terrorists (BHTs) was seen converging under a tree close to a prominent zinc-roofed structure. Part of the structure was concealed by the foliage of a tree, making it a seemingly unobtrusive gathering point for the terrorists."
NAF, said a confirmatory ISR mission indicated that the structure was indeed a BHT hideout.

FG to borrow more in foreign currency to save cost

Posted: 10 Aug 2017 02:27 AM PDT

By Lawrence Olaoye

In order to restructure the nation's debt profile, the federal government has opted to borrow less in Naira and more in foreign currencies because it is cheaper.
This is coming just as the Federal Executive Council (FEC) chaired by the Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo, also approved the Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) 2018-2020 with projection of 2.3 million barrels per day and a benchmark of 45 dollars per barrel.
Minister Of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, who briefed newsmen after the meeting explained that the decision to resort to borrowing in foreign currency was to give room for private investors to borrow in the local market in order to create more jobs.
Adeosun said "The memo that I presented was approved by council was as part of efforts to restructure our debt portfolio.
"We got an approval in June to restructure our debt profile, we will borrow less in naira and more in foreign currency because it's cheaper and we want to prevent crowding out the private sector. We want to create room for the private sector so that they can borrow and create more jobs. So as part of that we sought approval and that was granted for us to refinance treasury bills.
"We will finance treasury bills as treasury bills mature ; we will be financing them in dollars upto $3 billion worth of treasury bills will be refinanced into dollars. As the naira treasury bills mature, we will be issuing dollar instrument. We are not increasing our borrowings we are simply restructuring. Instead of owing naira we will be owing dollars and the advantage to that one is cost reduction, the average rate we borrow internationally doesn't exceed 7% .
"Our Treasury Bills we're paying between 13.6 and 18.5. They are almost having the cost of borrowing. We are trying to relieve the pressure on debt services. As you know there are a lot of controversies that our debt profile is very high and one of the things we are trying to do to relieve is to refinance.
"The second thing to extend the maturity. all our treasury bills mature maximum 364 days. We will be taking that borrowing to 3 Years and the expectations is that as the economy recovers and grows, we will be in a much better position to repay instead of rolling over the debt which we are doing at the moment.
The third thing is that by reducing government borrowing to the tune of $3bn we create more room for banks to lend to the private sector and hopefully that will also create some downward pressure on the interest rate. We want to borrow as much in naira and hopefully that will begin to put pressure on the interest rate which we will agree have to come down.So that was the approval that was given and that is part of our overall strategy which aims to reduce borrowing."
On the MTEF, Minister of Budget and National Planning, Senator Udoma Udo Udoma, said "Council today approved a memorandum that was submitted by my ministry and approved the 2018-2020 MTEF.
"As we know we have been having extensive consultation in the last few weeks with the governors, members of the public, leadership of the National Assembly about the MTEF.
"So we submitted it and was approved by council. The highlight of it is that we have committed to achieving a 7% growth rate by 2020 at the end of the three year plan in accordance with the Economic recovery and growth plan.
MTEF is based on the economic recovery and growth plan and in terms of the trajectory of getting the 7%, we have approved a slightly different trajectory in the sense that by next year our target 3.5% in 2018, in 2019 it will be 4.5% growth rate and of course in 2020 it will be 7% growth rate.
He continued "In terms of crude oil production, our estimate projection for next year is 2.3 million barrels per day. We expect it to be broken down to 1.8million barrels per day regular crude and 500 thousand barrels per day in terms of condensate. The price we projected for next year is $45. We are also committed in the MTEF to explore ways of raising additional revenue to reduce debt service to revenue ratio. As the Minister of finance said that is part of the policy of this government to make sure that borrowing is controlled and to make sure to keep a reasonable debt service to revenue ratio which will of course help to bring down interest rates."
Minister of Communications, Adebayo Shittu, also told newsmen that the council approved a memo for the second National ICT infrastructure project of about N100 billion.
He said "Council considered and approved a memo for the National ICT infrastructural backbone project. It is popularly called NIPTI 2 and it is domiciled within the Galaxy Backbone. Galaxy backbone is a Federal government owned agency which engages in service wide connectivity of all government offices agencies, ministries and departments across the country.
"They have been NIPTI 1 project which is 80% complete. Essentially, it covers most of the southern states and also had a data centre project.
NIPTI 2 is the concluding component of it to ensure the entire country is fully covered by fibre optics connectivity. Connecting the whole of the country's by way of the federal government ministries, agencies and departments.
"The China NEXIM bank has graciously supported Nigeria. They funded phase one and they are funding this phase 2. By this approval the ministry of finance will enter into negotiations for the full implementation of the funding proposal with us. Essentially the funding will cost $328 million . Approximately 100 billion naira .
"When concluded it will not only cover federal ministries, department ,agencies and all of that but there will be enough for commercialization to the private sector particularly GSM companies and other ICT industries .
So, we hope that Nigeria will be making a lot of money from this particular facility when completed," he explained.

Shiite writes TEDx, wants El-Rufai excluded as speaker at event

Posted: 10 Aug 2017 02:27 AM PDT

Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai

Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai

From Femi Oyelola, Kaduna

Members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) have vehemently objected to the inclusion of the Kaduna state Governor, Malam Nasiru Elrufai as a speaker in the prestigious TEDx event scheduled to hold this weekend in Abuja.
In a letter sent to the organisers, the Movement speaking through the Free Zakzaky Campaign Committee Chairman, Sheikh Abdulrahaman Yola, said allowing El-rufai to participate in the event will undoubtedly send the wrong signals to TED fans in Nigeria and globally. The Movement said, El-rufai's involvement "definitely negates the spirit of TED's mission of ideas worth spreading."
The Movement posited that TED speakers are supposed to be thinkers, doers and idea-generators and El-rufai, whose government confessed to brutal extrajudicial killing of 347 IMN members and secretly burying all in a mass grave, does not fit that frame. "The name and brand of the TEDx program will be indelibly soiled in blood," the letter pointed out.
IMN further observed that the governor's continued fierce persecution without remorse despite national and international outcry will not "bridge the gap," which is what the TEDxMaitama 2017 chose as its theme.
"We will like to register our displeasure and protest at this ignominious action of having Malam Nasiru Elrufai the governor of Kaduna State as a speaker in your famous event.
"Elrufai is someone who by his own government confessions had undertaken the brutal extrajudicial murder of three hundred and forty seven (347) citizens of Nigeria without recourse to the law
"We are particularly irked that by having such a character as a speaker in the internationally acclaimed TED/TEDx event, the name and brand of the TEDx program will be indelibly soiled in blood!
"Allowing Nasiru El-Rufai to participate in the event will undoubtedly send the wrong signals to TED fans not only in Nigeria but across the globe because it will definitely negate the spirit of TED's mission, "ideas worth spreading." TED speakers are supposed to be thinkers, doers and idea-generator
"We do not see how Elrufai, who is currently being investigated for crimes against humanity by the International Criminal Court at The Hague, fits that description. What ideas would such a mass murderer and mass gravedigger provide that would be worth spreading?," the statement reads.

An appealed has gone to the Federal Government not to be used by any group or person to bring hostilities to the Niger Delta rather they should sustain the already existing peace to ensure that the Maritime University Okerenkoko retain its Acts of establishment.
National Coordinator, Center for Peace and Environmental Justice (CEPEJ) and the Chairman of Kokodiagbene community in Gbaramutu Kingdom, High Comrade Sheriff Mulade described as unfortunate the continued animosities between the people of Ijaw and Itsekiri over a parcel of land the Federal government is building the multi billion naira Export Processing Zone EPZ, saying the communities should give peace a chance to enable development of the Niger Delta region.
Mulade who spoke when he hosted the Executive Members of the Indigenous Correspondents Chapel (ICC) of the Nigerian Union of Journalists ( NU

"The bane of our development is ethnic crisis and there are initiators of this crisis. Government is a great beneficiary of crises because of security votes given to them. South South Governors are great beneficiaries of such votes which give birth to crises." the rights activist stated.
Following an alleged plans by The Federal Government to rename the Maritime University Okerenkoko, Warri South West LGA, to an institution that will award National Diploma, Degree or Higher National Diploma instead of the original plans, Mulade urged the Federal Government or those behind the purported plans to abort such dreams or face the wrath of the Ijaw nations.
He appealed to the Federal Government not to be used by any group or person to bring hostilities to the Niger Delta rather they should sustained the already existing peace to ensure that the Maritime University Okerenkoko retain its Acts of establishment.
He said the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) is a political commission to settle political issues, noting that the commission is entitled to three percent budgets from oil multi nationals.
Speaking further on how to address the multifaceted challenges confronting the oil region, ravaged by ecological degradation coupled with communal crises, he said if the leaders are genuinely committed to development of the region, setting up a commission was not necessary since there is no projects executed in the coastal areas. Gbaramutu community host over two hundred oil well yet no projects from any of the interventionist agencies, there headquarters are in Abuja.

Mulade lamented the failures of the traditional institutions caused by government stipends as well as greed of some of the rulers. He, however, urged government to stop relegating the monarchs even as he advised them to confirm themselves to their throne and shun politics.

On how to solve the problems of the Niger Delta Region, he said; "I strongly believe that we can prepare the nest generation for youths. We need to prepare ourselves; we have enormous challenges in the region. We must speak out against bad government. There are basic issues government does not need to campaign with. Delta state is backward; it will take it 25 years to catch up with other states. Does Asaba look like a capital city? Delta State resources are being wasted by the government.

540 Nigerians to be deported from Libya Aug. 10 – NAPTIP DG

Posted: 10 Aug 2017 02:17 AM PDT

nigerians from libya return to lagosFive hundred and forty Nigerians are set for deportation from Libya, beginning from Aug. 10, Julie Okah-Donli, Director-General, National Agency for Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons(NAPTIP), has said.
Mrs. Okah-Donli disclosed this on Wednesday in Osogbo, at the inauguration of the North-West Zonal Command Office of the agency.
She said the deportees would be brought back to Nigeria in three batches of 180 each.
The NAPTIP boss said more than 2,000 Nigerians were deported from various parts of the world from February till date, over various migration offences, including human trafficking.
Mrs. Okah-Doni disclosed that the agency had rescued and supported more than 12,000 victims of human trafficking, and also secured 325 convictions since its inception in 2003.
She decried the rising trend of deportation of Nigerians from different parts of the world, especially in Africa, and described the situation as "frightening".
"Such massive deportations are not good for us as a people. Government at all levels must take steps to halt it by initiating measures that will reduce the vulnerability of our people to being trafficked.
"We must also strive to enlighten our people to resist the temptation to leave the country at all cost," she said.
Mrs. Okah-Donli, who described human trafficking as a modern day slavery, urged stern measures to end it.
She reaffirmed NAPTIP's commitment to implementing the Trafficking in Persons(Prohibition) Enforcement and Administration Act of 2015, and declared that there would be no sacred cows.
Mrs. Okah-Donli identified Osun, Ekiti and Ondo among the endemic states in trafficking in persons in Nigeria, saying all hands must be on deck to change the trend.
"Nigeria is a source, transit and destination country. Women and young girls are recruited for sexual and labour exploitation in parts of Europe, the Middle East and even within the African continent.
"This calls for concerted action by all as Nigerians cannot make meaningful progress in its human capital development index, with a sustained depletion of her young and brightest stars."
Gov. Rauf Aregbesola, who was represented by his Special Adviser on Security Matters, Tope Adejumo, promised that the state government would collaborate with the agency to minimise human trafficking.
In his remarks, a former governor of the state, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, who is also the royal ambassador of the agency, said he was ready to support the agency in its war against human trafficking.
Mr. Oyinlola urged the agency to take the campaign against human trafficking to the grassroots, using the native language as a means of communication.(NAN)

Mrs. Udoaka Sunday, and three men have been arrested by the Cross River State Police Command for sexually abusing her 12-year-old first daughter in Calabar.

Vanguardngr reports that, a neighbour confirmed that Udoaka collected money from different men, including a retired 78-year-old soldier, Effiom Okon, and four other persons.

Her words:
"That woman is really insane; she is the biological mother of the girl. She collected N15,000 from old soldier and other petty cash from four other men. Whenever she sends her out to hawk Zobo, Fufu and other items, she also reminds her not to fail to visit old soldier and other clients.
She has been doing this for long and mostly with elderly men, who are above 50 and mostly those receiving pension, because that is how she ensures that money keeps coming."

The girl reported the matter to her teacher in school, who, after verifying the information, went to a child rights foundation that blew the whistle and had Udoaka arrested.

A Police source revealed that the woman was a "bad case," adding that she has five children for five different men. According to the source,
"She is currently nursing a baby, and the father of that child has not even visited since her arrest. .

The Cross Rivers State Police Public Relations Officer, Irene Ubgo, who confirmed the incident, said: "A woman, Udoaka Sunday, and three men, including 78-year-old, Effiom Okon, are now in our custody and investigation is ongoing to get to the root of the matter."

5 Easy Tricks That Can Save You Money

Posted: 10 Aug 2017 01:56 AM PDT

Saving money might generally not be an easy thing to do, but if you know a few tricks to help, you might be able to successfully save more of your money and reduce your overall expenses.

Jumia Travel shares 5 easy tricks that can help you save money.

Make and Pack Your Own Food
Making and packing your own food along when you're out and about is a great, but often overlooked, way of saving a significant amount of your money. Many people complain that the reason they are unable to make their own food, even though they would like to, is because they don't have time; but if you consider the daily schedules of most of these people, you'll realize they actually have time but are not just willing to use part of that time to get ready the food they would need for the following day.

Wait Until the End of Month to Make Large Purchases
Most times, towards the end of the month, in a bid to meet sales quotas for the month, sales persons are willing to give deep discounts in order for them to make sales and meet their quota. You will therefore be potentially saving a lot if you wait till the end of the month to make large purchases.

Try Not To Use a Shopping Cart While Grocery Shopping
If you go to the grocery store to 'pick up a few items', you should try to avoid using a shopping cart because this can tempt you into buying extra things that you didn't intend to buy and most likely won't need.

Carry Around Large Bills
This is especially helpful when you're on vacation. If you are more cash-inclined than credit card-inclined, you are likely to spend less, and you can take this one step further by carrying around large bills which are harder to break – it can significantly help to keep you from making impulse purchases.

Use a 48-hour Waiting Period
For most of your big and expensive purchases, try imposing a 48-hour waiting period before buying them. This is because the waiting period can prove vital in helping you realize the items that are in fact impulse purchases, and help you avoid what would have been a regrettable purchase.
