Police caught altering crime scene after shooting robber and hostage in car | Mr Olumide's Blog Posted: 01 Dec 2017 03:44 AM PST This is the shocking moment trigger-happy police shoot dead two men including a hostage victim - then alter the crime scene to make out they acted in self-defence. Slain Tiago Ribeiro Messias, 31, was forced to drive his own stolen car at gunpoint by an armed robber who held him up at his country home. Police received a radio alert about the robbery - and CCTV footage showed two officers getting out of a patrol car and rushing towards the car they identified as the suspect vehicle before firing on it repeatedly from close-range by a petrol station. Another camera then showed the driver - who officers mistook for the criminal - slumped over the wheel of his car before being carried and dumped unceremoniously in the boot of an emergency response vehicle. Worse was to come when another officer was filmed getting into the passenger side and shooting at the windscreen of tragic Tiago's car from inside to make it appear the police who shot dead the hostage victim and the armed robber had come under attack first. Last night an investigation was underway and four officers banned from working on the street and confined to administrative duties as police chiefs criticised their actions. The outrageous incident happened on Saturday evening in the city of Senador Cenado in the state of Goias in central Brazil. culled from MPNB Mr Olumide's Blog |

GRAPHIC: Woman Finds Aborted Baby In Her Abdomen 15 years After Procedure | Mr Olumide's Blog Posted: 01 Dec 2017 02:39 AM PST Doctors in India were shocked to find a woman had been carrying a calcified foetus in her abdomen for the past 15 years. The 52-year-old, who does not want to be named, terminated her pregnancy back then as her family allegedly did not approve of her having another child. At the time, her obstetrician and gynaecologist treating her confirmed the baby was successfully aborted. However, she went on to suffer abdominal pain over the years and visited several doctors, who only gave her painkillers and pills for acidity. And for the last three years, she had been continually vomiting, raising alarm. She then went to see a specialist who discovered the rare find – and has had a two-hour operation to remove the 'fully grown stone baby' as a medic described it. 'It's extremely rare' Eventually, the woman, from a small village near Nagpur, in Maharashtra in the northern part of the country, met with a specialist. Medics at Junankar Surgical Nursing Home, in Nagpur city, did a CAT scan and found an obstruction in her intestines, blocking the digestive system. Dr Nilesh Junankar, a laparoscopic surgeon, said: 'Her scan showed intestinal obstruction, a blockage in her food pipe along with a stone like structure. 'Due to this unusual report, a laparoscopy was done and to our utter surprise, there was a four-month old baby in the abdomen. We were very shocked. It's extremely rare.' A team of two doctors decided to immediately operate and Dr Nilesh removed the dead baby in a two-hour operation on November 23. Dr Nilesh explained: 'It was a shock for everyone present in the operating theatre. A stone baby, or Lithopedion as it is called in medical terms, is extremely rare. Only 300 such cases have been reported in the past 400 years worldwide. 'Since no sonography was done, neither she nor the doctors thought the baby was still there,' Dr Nilesh added. The woman thanked the hospital for freeing her from a decade of pain and has since been discharged from the hospital. Mailonline culled from MPNB Mr Olumide's Blog |

Young Girl 'Takes Over' Her Madam's Husband In Lagos... the woman is barren Posted: 01 Dec 2017 02:13 AM PST A Teenage housemaid dislodged a barren woman after she was impregnated by the woman's husband simply known as Emmanuel, as she insisted she will not share or live with Emmanuel's wife, who was her madam, under the same roof. The incident happened at Egbeda area of Lagos where Emmanuel resided with his wife and they had not been able to bear a child after years of marriage. The maid reportedly insisted that the embattled woman should look for another husband elsewhere since she was unable to bear a child for Emmanuel before she got pregnant for him. This had caused serious problem between Emmanuel and the wife to the extent the case was reported to the police at Area M Command, Idimu, Lagos. Thus, Emmanuel was arrested and charged before a Lagos Magistrates court for r*pe, impregnating an underaged girl. Police sources explained that the girl was below 18 years before Emmanuel impregnated her. According to PM Express, the girl was brought from the eastern part of the country by Emmanuel's neighbour who was a single mother. Emmanuel had sought for medical and spiritual solutions for his wife to get pregnant to no avail. He was said to be secretly sleeping with the house maid until she became pregnant. When her madam suspected her condition, she took her to a hospital, doctors conducted tests and confirmed that she was pregnant. She then opened up and mentioned Emmanuel as the one responsible. He admitted and promised to take of the girl and the baby. However, everything turned upside down when the house maid gave the condition that she will not share him with his wife, thereby dislodging the wife which has landed Emmanuel in trouble. Emmanuel was charged before Ogba Magistrates court for the alleged offence. He pleaded not guilty. The presiding Magistrate granted him bail in the sum of N250,000 with two sureties in like sum. The matter was adjourned till 15 January, 2018. culled from Olu famous Mr Olumide's Blog |
How Yahoo Boy Swindled Woman of Multi-Million Naira Posted: 01 Dec 2017 02:13 AM PST Justice Hakeem Oshodi of an Ikeja High Court, Lagos, yesterday heard how an unemployed young man, Sowunmi Gabriel Oladipo allegedly defrauded a female British National, one Stephanie Metacalfe of £150,000. Oladipo, who portrayed himself as both Brian Kinsella and Gabriel Solomon, met Stephanie in June 2014 on an online dating site as Brian (resident in the Brompton United Kingdom) where they chatted and later turned lovers. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission had arraigned Oladipo on a four-count charge of conspiracy and obtaining money by false pretence but he denied the allegations. The commission alleged that Oladipo and one Adebayo (still at large) between the months of June and September 2014 with intent to defraud obtained the sums of USD $228, 661, £25, 403 and £8, 969 from Stephanie through Western Union Money Transfer Scheme and money gram on the false pretense that he was a supervisor in Shell oil company in Nigeria. The EFCC also alleged that Oladipo obtained money from the victim on the pretence that he was working in the oil company in Nigeria and needed a loan to pay his workers. However, according to a female operative attached to the Advanced fee fraud Section of the EFCC, Funmilayo Adedulu, who narrated the incidence to the court, said that the victim(Stephanie) lost £150'000 during the course of their relationship as lovers. While being led in evidence by the prosecuting officer, Ayokunle Fayanju, Adedulu said that a petition with several attachments dated December 1, 2016 was received by the commission and assigned to her team. Adedulu said that the petition was written and signed by one Daniel of the National Crimes Agency Victoria Island, Lagos; attached to the British Deputy High Commission on behalf of the UK (United Kingdom) citizen Stephanie Metacalfe. She said, "in the petition, the citizen claimed she was into an online romance relationship with Brian. The petition stated that the attachments were the statements the UK citizen made to the UK police, including other document showing the incidence which occurred during the relationship. "The attachment included the DHL documents which she used in sending items like wrist watch, sun glasses to Brian in Nigeria. "Documents of the Debit transfer from her account to the Diamond bank account of Oladipo in Nigeria, the email exchanges, western Union and money gram documents which she used in sending the monies to Nigeria were also attached. "In the statement of account of Oladipo Gabriel, it was discovered that the victim made transfers to the account between June, July and September, 2014 in five(5) installments in the tune of $225,000. "Further study revealed that most of the depositors of the account had foreign names," she said. Adedulu further told the court that the defendant was arrested at Fidelity Bank during the course of investigation and handed over to the operatives of the commission. "The defendant was arrested by the officials of Fidelity Bank and he further volunteered a statement in respect to the petition," Adedulu added. Meanwhile, the tendering of the documents by Fayanju was rejected by the court on the grounds that the documents were not certified. Justice Oshodi said that the court observed that most of the documents which the prosecution sorts to tender are public documents that are not certified true copies. The judge consequently adjourned the matter till march 1, 2018, for the continuation of trial. culled from Olu famous Mr Olumide's Blog |

Pamela Anderson blames Harvey Weinstein’s victims for alleged sex assault | Mr Olumide's Blog Posted: 01 Dec 2017 01:39 AM PST Pamela Anderson thinks Harvey Weinstein's alleged victims should have been more careful. The former "Baywatch" actress laid blame on the more than 100 women who have accused Weinstein of sexual harassment and assault during an appearance on "Megyn Kelly Today" Thursday. "It was common knowledge that certain producers or certain people in Hollywood or people to avoid, privately," she said on the show. When Kelly argued that the women have said they felt safe because the meetings were set up by their agents, Anderson responded that they should have been smart enough not to go alone and "that's not a good excuse." "When I came to Hollywood, of course I had a lot of offers to do private auditions and things that made absolutely no sense," she said. "Just common sense: don't go into a hotel room alone. If someone enters a door in a bathrobe, leave. These things that are common sense." She also listed details frequently relayed by Weinstein's alleged victims, including private auditions and answering hotel rooms in a bathrobe. "I know that Hollywood is very seductive and these people want to be famous. Sometimes you think you're going to be safe with an adult in the room," she said. "I don't know where this security comes from, but somehow I've dodged it all. I've been offered lots of things. A condo and a Porsche to be someone's number one girl," she said. At the same time, Anderson, telling the story of her own childhood sexual abuse, said women should never blame themselves. culled from MPNB Mr Olumide's Blog |
Tragic | Female Teacher Dies After Flogging Girl In Her Class Posted: 01 Dec 2017 01:38 AM PST Tragedy struck the quiet town of Ogidi in Anambra state on Wednesday, 29th November, 2017 after a teacher died after flogging a student in her class. According to reporter Eze Amadi, the mother of 14-year-old Okafor Chinaza, a student of Starlight Secondary School, Ogidi - fought and killed her daughter's teacher for flogging her. When the teacher walked in to teach them, she found out that the class was dirty, she questioned the student why she didn't carry out her duty. The student allegedly responded in an insulting manner to the teacher according to fellow student's present in the class room. Bank Robbers Sack Police Station, Kill POliceman, Others Posted: 01 Dec 2017 01:08 AM PST There is palpable fear in Lapai, Niger State, after scores of gunmen invaded the community, robbed two financial institutions – First Bank of Nigeria Plc, and United Bank for Africa. In the operation, which lasted for about an hour, the assailants were said to have killed a policeman and a security guard manning the banks, as well as a mechanic, identified simply as Aliyu. The incident happened around 5pm on Wednesday when the officials were rounding off for the day. A resident of the community, Mohammed Idris, in a phone interview with Punch on Thursday said the robbers came in a large number and announced their presence with continuous gunshots. Idris said the bandits parked their cars at a junction and blocked all roads leading to the community. "Some of them mounted roadblocks, while others marched to the Lapai Police Division and laid siege to the division. Others were said to have stormed the banks. "They were many. They attacked the police station and blocked every road that led to Lapai. They killed a policeman and a security guard attached to one of the banks and shattered the glass doors of the banks. They made away with a lot of money. They also killed a mechanic at a motor park, and left many injured. The boy has been buried," he added. Another resident, who gave his name only as Adamu, explained that the assailants packed stolen cash from the banks in two cars belonging to bank workers and zoomed off to where their vehicles were parked. He said they abandoned one of the two cars along Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida University, and left in the other one, as well as their vehicles. Adamu added that the ambience of the banks was still solemn as of Thursday morning. He said, "I was in town when I started to hear gunshots. It was after the robbery that I went to the scene. I learnt the attack started from the police station. The policemen ran away. Some of the robbers were at the station, while thwe robbery went on at the UBA and First Bank at the same time. All the roads – Suleja, Mina and Bida – that lead to Lapai were blocked. They shot repeatedly into the air. "A policeman was killed at the UBA and one was seriously injured. At First Bank, one of the security men was also injured. At a point, some youths started throwing stones at the robbers. One of them was shot dead by the robbers and two others were seriously injured. The deceased boy was from the Batafu area of Lapai. His name is Aliyu. "Two cars were taken away from the bank. The robbers left one of the cars along IBBU Road. "This attack is first of its kind in Lapai; I have never witnessed such attack before. People were ran for dear lives and there were no security personnel to call upon. It was very terrible. "As of 9am today (Thursday) when I passed through the area, people were still there, watching. Police were not there. I learnt the banks' workers have been moved to Minna." Our correspondents learnt that the guard later died from the gunshot injuries. The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 7, Abuja, Salisu Fagge, described the incident as unfortunate. Fagge said he was sent by the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, to sympathise with the affected banks and assess the level of damage done by the hoodlums. He said, "The Lapai Police Division needed to be strengthened to avert a recurrence of the ugly incident." The Niger State Commissioner of Police, Austin Agbonlahor, said no arrest had been made, noting that the command had yet to ascertain the amount that was stolen from the two banks. Agbonlahor said detectives had commenced investigations into the robbery, adding that they had recovered a Toyota Corolla with number plate, KRD 561 AJ, Lagos. Head, Media and External Communications, First Bank Plc., Mr. Babatunde Lasaki, said he had yet to be briefed on the incident. He said, "I don't have a statement on it yet. I can't confirm the incident because I don't have any report on it yet." An official of the UBA, who spoke on condition of anonymity, confirmed the damage to the doors of the bank, but said the robbers did not gain access to cash. "I don't think they were successful in carting away any money. They did not succeed," he added. The police bosses were however silent on the number of deaths. culled from Olu famous Mr Olumide's Blog |
Court freezes 7 accounts linked to governors forum over fraud Posted: 01 Dec 2017 01:08 AM PST The Federal High Court in Abuja has frozen seven separate accounts which, according to the EFCC, were used by the Nigerian Governors' Forum to launder the sum of N10bn said to be derived from the proceeds of the Paris Club refund. Justice Gabriel Kolawole directed on Wednesday that the freezing order would last for 45 days within which the EFCC must either institute charges in respect of the transactions against the relevant suspects or apply to the court for an extension of the order. The judge also gave seven days to the account owners, if interested in seeking the setting aside of the freezing order, to file an application which must be served on the EFCC. The frozen accounts are 0002184449 with Jaiz Bank Plc and operated by HAD Properties Limited; 0025600864 with Guaranty Trust Bank Plc and operated by Hassan Ahmed Danbaba; as well as 0005892453 with Access Bank Plc and operated by Melrose General Services Coy. They also include one Access Bank account, 0045824054 and another Zenith Bank Plc account 1010948906, both of which belong to Bina Consult and Integrated Services. The rest are two Access Bank Plc accounts – 0700755576 and 0700946008 – belonging to Farouk Adamu Aliyu and Malam Alu Agro Allied Company Ltd., respectively. EFCC's lawyer, Mr. Ben Ikani, had moved the ex parte application seeking the freezing of the accounts on November 27, following which Justice Kolawole adjourned till Wednesday for ruling. The commission alleged that its preliminary investigation had revealed that the N10bn was fraudulently diverted by the NGF under the guise of paying consultancy fee to BizPlus GSCL Consortium which the Forum engaged "to carry out reconciliation of accounts and recover the amounts due to the states" from the refund of the over-deducted payment of Paris Club debt by the Federal Government from 1995 to 2002. In an affidavit filed in support of the EFCC's ex parte motion, a member of the Special Investigation Committee, set up by the commission to investigate the alleged Paris Club refunds scam, Osas Azonabor, alleged that preliminary investigation had revealed that the NGF caused the Central Bank of Nigeria to pay N19,439,225,871.11 into its account for onward payment to BizPlus as consultancy fee. But the investigator stated that N10bn of the N19.4bn paid to the NGF account by the CBN was fraudulently disbursed to the seven accounts of companies and individuals, who were not part of the said BizPlus GSCL Consortium. Detailing how the fraud was allegedly perpetrated, Azonabor alleged that the NGF had agreed to pay success fee of two per cent to BizPlus GSCL Consortium. But the investigator alleged that upon the success of the recovery, rather than stick to the two per cent fee, the NGF caused the Central Bank of Nigeria to deduct five per cent, amounting to the N19.4bn. He said, "That sometime in January 2017, the applicant (EFCC) received intelligence in respect of a case against the Nigerian Governors' Forum alleging conspiracy, criminal misappropriation of public funds involving the sum of N19,439,225,871.11 out of the Paris Club refund made by the Federal Government in favour of the 36 states of the federation. "That preliminary investigation conducted by the commission revealed that the 36 state governments, under the auspices of the NGF, engaged the services of Bizplus GSCL Consortium to carry out reconciliation of accounts and recover amounts due to the states from line charge made on them from 1995 to 2002 for a success fee of two per cent payable by the NGF. "That investigation further revealed that contrary to the agreed fee of two per cent as stated in paragraph 6 above, NGF caused the Central Bank of Nigeria to deduct five per cent of the amount due to the states which amounted to the sum of N19.4bn (stated in paragraph 5 above) and paid the same into the NGF account, supposedly for onward payment to the Bizplus GSCL consortium. "That our investigation of the case further revealed that a larger part of the amount stated in paragraphs 5 and 7 above was fraudulently disbursed by the NGF to individuals and corporate entities that were not part of the consortium. "That the names, account numbers and bankers of the fraudulent beneficiaries of the criminal diversion of the public funds are as stated in the schedule to this application and that copies of the statements of accounts showing the disbursements is hereby attached and marked Exhibits EFCC1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7 respectively. "That further investigation revealed that those individuals and corporate entities were used by the NGF to launder over N10bn under the guise of paying consultancy fees to the Bizplus GSCL Consortium which, however, found its way to the various accounts listed in the schedule to this application." Justifying the commission's request for the freezing order, Azonabor stated that the 72 hours stop-order allowed by law to be placed on any account suspected to be involved in suspicious transaction or any crime had expired, but investigation had yet to be concluded. He maintained that the court order freezing the accounts was needed to enable the EFCC to carry out its investigation to a logical conclusion. He said, "That further to the foregoing, I am aware that substantial amounts from the fraudulent disbursements into these accounts have further been laundered to some other accounts or withdrawn as cash. While discrete investigation is currently ongoing, the 72 hours stop order allowed by law to be placed on any account suspected to be involved in suspicious transaction or any crime has expired." culled from Olu famous Mr Olumide's Blog |
"I Accept Blame For Maina’s Return To Office" Posted: 01 Dec 2017 01:08 AM PST More light was shed yesterday on how fugitive Pension Task Force chairman, Abdulrasheed Maina returned to office in the federal civil service. Ministry of Interior Permanent Secretary Abubakar Magaji owned up to the lapses in Maina's reinstatement, which sparked a huge row. Magaji spoke when he appeared before the House of Representatives Ad hoc Committee investigating the "disappearance, reappearance, reinstatement and promotion of Maina'' in Abuja. According to him, the reference letter made to inform the Head of Civil Service of the Federation that Maina resumed duty was a letter sent to the Federal Civil Service Commission. "When I observed this upon resumption from sick leave, I quickly replied to the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs Winifred Oyo-Ita, apologising to her about the reference letter. "But service is an institution; whatever happened in the process of the minutes, the permanent secretary is the head of the administration and I am here to take responsibility. "Whatever the Interior Ministry has done wrongly in accordance with the way administrative matter has been done to the end of this matter, I take responsibility because I cannot reject. "I am the permanent secretary, head of administration and I take responsibility for any administrative wrongdoing that Ministry of Interior has done,'' Magaji said. Mrs. Oyo-Ita insisted that the ministry acted in error on the issue. She said Maina's reinstatement letter was not endorsed by the Head of Civil Service of the Federation and the letter of posting not delivered to him. According to her, the Ministry of Interior did not wait to get posting directives from the Head of Civil Service but it went ahead to act on the advance copy issued by the Federal Civil Service Commission. Mrs. Oyo-Ita insisted that Maina was not reinstated into the service. "The Federal Civil Service Commission considered the administrative aspect of the case which is punishable by dismissal and the letter reinstating Maina has not been delivered. "Therefore, he stands dismissed and was never reinstated into the service,'' she said. Attorney-General and Minister of Justice Mr Abubakar Malami said his office had begun an investigation into the letter directing Maina's reinstatement. Malami said though work was in progress over Maina's demand to be reinstated based on court judgment, "the letter of his reinstatement may not have emanated from my office as at Oct. 5, 2017''. He maintained that he neither authored nor signed letters purported to have emanated from his office directing the Federal Civil Service Commission to reinstate Maina. "The request for Maina's reinstatement as submitted to my office by Maina's lawyers was a work-in-progress as at Oct. 5, 2017,'' he added. He told the committee that he had set up a panel of enquiry headed by the Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary in the ministry to investigate issues revolving around the letter. The chairman of the Committee, Rep. Aliyu Madaki, issued a one-week ultimatum for the submission of the committee's report. "Concerned about investigation that the letter may not have genuinely emanated from his office, the committee will like the probe concluded and the report sent to us soon,'' Madaki said. Acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Ibrahim Magu told the panel that Maina never handed over any asset to the commission. Magu said the assets in the EFCC custody were those recovered by the Commission in the course of investigating the pension fraud. "Maina has no asset he handed over to the EFCC, and if there is any, we will like to know the type of assets, the locations, date of handing over and which officer signed the handing-over documents. "So, there can't be any asset to be shared by the EFCC, and if there was any sharing, we would also like to know when, where, and who participated in the sharing,'' Magu said. Magu denied the letter vacating the stop order, saying he had never seen it. He also said he had never met Maina. He said the source of the letter will be investigated because he assumed office in November 2015; "stop order" vacation letter was written in December without his authority. He told the Committee that investigation of pension fraud began in 2010 but that the EFCC had no collaboration with Maina's team, except for a biometric exercise. "All recovered assets at EFCC are products of our independent investigations and they were police pension and HoCSF. "From police pension, eight people and associated companies were investigated while HoSC had five and associated companies investigated. "All assets recovered from HoCSF on interim forfeiture have been handed over while some are used as offices. "It is only the asset of one Yusuf that has been convicted that's been permanently forfeited and they are 32 in number. "All proceeds on the forfeited assets as rents are duly documented "Maina's assets that we recovered were seven in Kaduna, five in Abuja- two in Kado, two in Life camp and a sprawling one in Jabi". Magu said the EFCC was investigating four companies used by Maina with six bank accounts that have N2.7b from 2008 to 2013. According to him, one of Maina's son's account that has N1.5b turnover within a year was also uncovered. He said Maina used cash converted to forex exchange for transactions most of the time, adding that he paid $2m cash for the Jabi house. He said having declared Maina wanted, the Interpol has been alerted for his arrest. Commenting on the proceedings at the public hearing, lagos lawyer Femi Falana (SAN)said: "Today, the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Abubakar Malami (SAN) was unable to produce any evidence that Mr. Abdulrasheed Maina handed over 222 properties to the EFCC. "So the irresponsible allegation credited to Mr. Maina and publicised by Governor Ayo Fayose that the EFCC sold a N1 billion property recovered from Maina, collapsed like a pack of cards before the National Assembly." Department of State Services (DSS) Director-General Mamman Daura said he was notified of the Dubai meeting between Maina and the AGF with the National Security Adviser (NSA) Babagana Monguno in attendance. He blamed the Maina saga on lack of inter-agency collaboration and information sharing. But when the chairman of the committee was set to round off the hearing, Maina's lawyer Sani Katu protested that he had been denied a fair hearing. "We must be heard, that is what they did to us in the Senate, they boxed us into a corner. We must be heard," he shouted. Madaki said no one would be denied hearing adding that the Committee would not allow a rented crowd to disrupt its activities. Katu then reiterated that Miana was reinstated by the court judgment that vacated his arrest order, that the status quo should remain. He insisted that Maina remained on the payroll of the government, going by the court pronouncement and should be paid his emoluments. Katu said Maina should not have been dismissed from service, going by the pronouncement of the court. He also said, out of court settlement was reached by the two parties where it was agreed that Maina would be reinstated while he would drop the N2.1b claim he asked for in the suit. He said: "The court reinstated him, which means he should revert to his status and his emoluments paid to him "There is a judgment from the Federal High Court that sets aside the Warrant of Arrest, that sets aside the warrant of arrest which led to his query and subsequent dismissal. "So, our position that having set aside all those queries and dismissal, it means Mr. Abdulrasheed Maina should revert back to his earlier status and what is that earlier status? "The status is that before he was dismissed, he was a civil servant and, being a civil servant, the question can as well be raised if he is entitled to salary and the answer is yes, that as a federal civil servant, he entitled to his salary. "At one point, efforts were made to calculate his salaries from March 2013 till date, perhaps if not for what has happened now, they would have paid him salary in October. "So, we are talking on the premise of the dictates of the law and the law is made up of facts and the facts are contained in the judgement of the Federal High Court," he said. Adjourning the hearing indefinitely, Madaki warned that it was the duty of the House to prevent impunity in government. culled from Olu famous Mr Olumide's Blog |

According to the report, the student in question was flogged by her Igbo teacher and class mistress earlier in the morning for not sweeping the class according to class roster. The student had allegedly responded in an insulting manner to the teacher when she inquired why the class wasn't swept. I was in my office with one of my teachers when she came in, after her report and confirmation from the students that the teacher flogged the said Okafor Chinaza, I pleaded with the mother and uncle to allow the school dive into the issue with diplomacy as revenge won't yield needed result. She had accepted to forget and forgive as I promised her that we will handle the case with ease. The teacher was believed to be coming back from the private teachers meeting she went to, when she met the student and her mother. Upon getting close to them, the student who came with her mother and other relatives, pointed at the teacher to the mother as she rushed to hit her (the teacher) with the stick she had come with.
