You Can Make It: Every Believer Faces A Red Sea Moment Posted: 17 Sep 2017 03:49 AM PDT Every believer at one point or another has a Red Sea moment, a situation from which there is no escape, and only an undeniable act of God can lead you safely out. Throughout Scripture, we witness Gods numerous miracles. But with all the miracles of the Bible, the exodus from Egypt is the one that most defines God's redemptive plan... In times of celebration and in times of deep trial, God is repeatedly referred to as "the God who led you out of Egypt" as a remembrance of who he is, what he has done, and what he remains capable of doing. Between an Army and the Sea In Exodus chapter 14, the Israelites are fleeing from Egypt when they found themselves on the verge of being brought back into slavery or even killed. The sea in front of them and an army behind them, they felt hopeless and impossibly trapped. We likewise find ourselves in places where there is no solution, no answer, and no way out. In the case of the Israelites, their freedom and their very lives were all but lost. An entire nation of people were given a taste of freedom only to now find themselves at a dead end, the enemy closing in, and no escape. There was nothing to save them - apart from an act of God. Between the Red Sea and the army that brings death is not a good place to be. It is a scary place to be. When I find myself in a Red Sea moment, I don't typically anticipate the sea drying up and everything turning out ok. I don't expect to walk out on dry land where there was a sea. I can't imagine a scenario where the powerful army of Pharaoh is going to be swallowed up in defeat. What I do see are bills that are due, I see danger, I see pain, I see discouragement, I see defeat, and it is all I can do to decide if I am going to swing away at the enemy knowing I am not going to make a dent, or just toss aside all God has taught me over a lifetime and surrender. But the most overlooked aspect of the Red Sea moment is this: it was God who put them there. It Was On Purpose God intentionally put them there, and God who knew exactly how this was going to play out. There was never a doubt. Never. A. Single. Doubt. Could it be that we find ourselves standing between the sea and an approaching army because God puts us there on purpose? 1 Then the Lord said to Moses, 2 "Tell the Israelites to turn back and encamp near Pi Hahiroth, between Migdol and the sea. They are to encamp by the sea, directly opposite Baal Zephon. 3 Pharaoh will think, 'The Israelites are wandering around the land in confusion, hemmed in by the desert.' 4 And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and he will pursue them. But I will gain glory for myself through Pharaoh and all his army, and the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord." So the Israelites did this.God knew the result. All along. He planned it. However, staring down the barrel of a certain defeat, the Israelites who had seen God perform astounding miracles to provide their freedom now questioned everything about him and everything about their future: 10 As Pharaoh approached, the Israelites looked up, and there were the Egyptians, marching after them. They were terrified and cried out to the Lord. 11 They said to Moses, "Was it because there were no graves in Egypt that you brought us to the desert to die? What have you done to us by bringing us out of Egypt? 12 Didn't we say to you in Egypt, 'Leave us alone; let us serve the Egyptians'? It would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the desert!" Learning to be Still Maybe, just maybe, they thought, the past wasn't so bad after all. Maybe slavery was better than uncertainty and defeat and whatever punishment was waiting for them back in Egypt. These people cried out daily for deliverance, yet when deliverance came they did not at all like what it looked like. There was finger-pointing, there was second guessing, but the fact is that God placed them in that exact spot in that exact moment so that he could perform a miracle that would define himself and his people forever. 13 Moses answered the people, "Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. 14 The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still." It is not up to us to fight, it is up to us to follow. We have to trust that God not only knows our situation but knows the outcome. The ability to be still when everything in you is screaming to do anything but be still is the essence of faith, and it is then that we see the greatest miracles. Your Defining Moment Your Red Sea moment could well be your defining moment. Do you want your life to be a testimony of God's greatness? Get ready for God to position you by the sea. Are you asking God to work in mighty ways in your life? Get ready for the sound of Pharaoh's army approaching from behind. And then grasp on to him tightly in prayer. God occasionally wants us in a position where we have no way out, no solution, no options, no choice but to trust in Him. As frightening as it is, most miracles only come when we need a miracle. David slaying Goliath. The walls of Jericho falling. Daniel in the lion's den. Jesus rising from the dead. And the parting of the sea: 30 That day the LORD saved Israel from the hands of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians lying dead on the shore. 31 And when the Israelites saw the mighty hand of the LORD displayed against the Egyptians, the people feared the LORD and put their trust in him and in Moses his servant. When God has us firmly entrenched in a Red Sea moment, it requires much prayer, much faith, and much trust. Our deliverance is not going to come quickly or easily, but it will come in such a way that God is glorified. It will become a moment that sustains you through a lifetime of pain and a moment that can be celebrated in times of joy. It's ok to be afraid, but not ok to let that fear overtake your faith. For faith is stronger than our fear, and God is stronger than any situation we face. [written by Jason Soroski] culled from Olu famous Mr Olumide's Blog |
AGF: "Threaten Nigeria's Unity, Be Treated As Criminal" Posted: 17 Sep 2017 03:18 AM PDT The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, has said that anyone posing a threat to Nigeria's unity will be treated as a criminal. Malami, who spoke while flagging off a three-day summit of attorneys-general from across the 36 states of the federation in Yola, Adamawa State capital, on Friday, said nobody would be allowed to compromise the peace and security of Nigeria. He said they (state AGF's) were empowered by relevant sections of the constitution to institute criminal proceedings against any individual who acts against the law. Malami said, "As the chief law officer of the nation and custodian of her legal conscience, we have a responsibility to ensure that the unity, peace and security of the country are not compromised by selfish interest over and above national interest. "The constitution under section 174 and 211 empowers us as chief law officers to institute and undertake criminal proceedings against any person before any court of law in respect of any offence under any act of the national assembly. "No one is above the law, for anyone who chooses to deliberately promote discord and threaten the security of the country, it is our responsibility to ensure the full weight of the law is brought to bear on such person." culled from Olu famous Mr Olumide's Blog |
9 Things You Can Do To Simplify Your Life Posted: 17 Sep 2017 02:18 AM PDT We long to simplify — not just with our stuff but also in our schedules, and in doing so, create space for us to grow in our faith. Simplifying allows us to focus our attention on God and what He says matters rather than with all that needs doing, or whatever catches our eye. Here are 9 simple ways to simplify your life. 1. Make time for spiritual disciplines We can't expect a more simplified life if we're not turning to the God who promised us that His yoke is easy and His burden is light. Schedule time to pray and read your Bible, even if it's for just a few minutes a day. Put an alarm on your phone to create new habits. Create daily, weekly, and monthly habits (like going to church, praying with others, giving, fasting, feasting, practicing service and hospitality) that will bring you closer to God, his people, and the world around you. 2. Create space Pick one room or space that you can go to as a haven when life gets busy. You might have a special reading spot or want your bedroom to feel orderly and clean. Work at decluttering this space. This will give you one spot where you can meet with God and it will be a happy incentive to work on other places. If chaotic surroundings make us feel chaotic, calm spaces can promote peace. 3. Use one organizational system for everything. Whatever organizational system will work for you as long as you use it. For me, I've found keeping my calendar, meal plans, schedules, goals, and random notes in one place (rather than a different notebook or file for everything) helps keep me simplified. I use the bullet journal method. 4. Commit to the things that bring you life. Commit to show up at church, small groups, daily bible reading and prayer, and other activities that bring you life. Make a list of things that are life-giving (like time in nature, reading, one-on-one time with a friend, etc.). They'll provide fuel when your schedule threatens to get packed. 5. Get moving and drink water. When you go on regular walks and drink enough water (about 11 cups a day for women, 13 for men), you feel more energetic. It not only allows you to build endurance, gives you endorphins and promotes healthy skin, but it enables you to pay attention to the world around you and find what really matters. 6. Streamline transitional moments Usually I get overwhelmed when I need to pack up my four kids and get everyone out the door. When I have a spot for my keys, all our shoes are by the door in a shoe bin, I can grab my bullet journal and water bottle, we're all a little less stressed and more kind as we head out. Brainstorm what transitional moments make you crazy and how to simplify them — whether that's a plan how to involve kids while cooking, who's going to do the dishes, or what's needed for your big meeting — think ahead about how to make it more streamlined. 7. Create a capsule wardrobe We usually wear the same outfits that we love the most, while other stuff sits unused in our closets. To cut down on clothes clutter, you could get rid of everything that doesn't fit, doesn't bring you joy, or is no longer useful to you. Find a few outfits that you love, that make you feel confident, and pass on the rest to someone else. 8. Get off social media We often spend our down time filling up with Internet noise. Plan a social media fast, or even schedule when (and how long) you'll be online so you don't get sucked into scrolling and neglecting the people and things that are around you. 9. Periodically evaluate your schedule and your goals As you look through your commitments each month, consider one question: Does this event further my or my family's mission?" If it doesn't, both be open to how God is calling you, and feel free to say "no" to commitments that add chaos rather than allow you to rest in God's plan. God calls us to love God and love our neighbor. Determine what allows you to love well and work in small steps to simplify the rest. "I Don’t Believe In Biafra As A Geographical Entity” – Tchidi Posted: 17 Sep 2017 01:48 AM PDT The launch of Operation Python by the Nigerian Army has raised tension in the South East, leading to reported deaths in Aba, Abia state, and disruption to economic activities. In chat with Diamond Celebrities, Nollywood Director, Tchidi Chikere, said; "Delia..do you believe in Biafra? I don't believe in Biafra as a Geographical Entity, but as a state of mind and an economic entity. We remain in Nigeria and make our place an Economic hot spot. But with the kidnappings in the East..and murders etc..even that is a tall dream. "Except the South East government make security in the region topmost priority…Igbos will not bring their investments back home and develop the South East. "[If we] continue to make noise about secession..it will only cost us more igbo blood and worsen the distrust and hatred of Igbos. "Right now there is no plan no strategy nothing..just noise and petitioning the UN..like the UN doesnt have enough problems on its hands already…Syria…North Korea…Isis, etc. "It is ill timed…before clamouring for any Biafra..first things first..and those things will determine if Biafra is a worthy venture or not. Pathetic story of epilepsy sufferer who fell into fire | Mr Olumide's Blog Posted: 17 Sep 2017 01:17 AM PDT Despite her grotesque look ,Benita Okereke remains optimistic that God would still open her file which has been lying on His celestial table since December 2015. On December 13,in Obulor Ihetu village, Ishiagu community in Ivo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, 22-year-old , Benita, suffered ill-fate as she was preparing stew as she had an epileptic seizure and slumped into the fire, unconscious. She was in the fire for close to 20 minutes. By the time somebody noticed what had happened and came to her aid, she had practically roasted in the red-hot flames. And as if the devil had marked her out for destruction, Benita told Sunday Sun that little children who were at the scene watched her burn without raising the alarm until some good spirits ministered to her mother that something might be wrong in the kitchen. Expectedly, the weird experience spread shockwaves throughout the community. She suffered third degree burns on the left-hand side of her neck and face. The flesh of the affected parts of the neck, face and upper shoulder 'joined together' as a result of tissue adhesion, thereby producing the pathetic look she has today. Yet, there is hope that she can regain some visual appeal if help can come to her today. With tear drops rolling down her cheeks, Benita narrated her ordeal to Sunday Sun, recalling that she went to the kitchen about 4pm on that fateful day to prepare some stew she uses to sell a local food item called agidi, made from partly fermented, boiled and hardened corn starch, wrapped with special green leaves. According to her, her mother had retired from the business as a result of old age. And with that being their only source of livelihood, she took up the business so that the family could, at least, feed. Hear her: "I was preparing stew with which I would sell agidi the next day. The stew was almost done when I suddenly lost consciousness and didn't know when I fell into the fire. Because of paucity of funds, Benita was not given adequate and appropriate medical attention. She revealed that she was subjected to traditional medication which was casually carried out. "Every morning, my mother would clean me up and lay me back on the bed. And I would sleep on one side. That's why I can't stand erect" she said. Determined to better her lot, Benita who is the last of eight children (now seven following the untimely death of the first daughter), revealed that she resorted to begging. She said that the family depended on the little money she made from begging to feed. But as the financial muscle of the family grew very lean, their mother, Celina, gave out some of her children to live with some privileged families in the cities. "My mum is unemployed. We have no money to even feed. I go out to beg so we can buy food. All my siblings were adopted by some privileged people. It has been about three years since my father died." Rejected by UNTH, Enugu After she had been able to save some money the alms she received benevolent people, she decided to go to a hospital for treatment. As Benita put it, she crossed the seven proverbial seas and forests to reach the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH), Enugu. The hospital, located in the sleepy Utuku-Ozalla community in Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State is quite far away from Benita's community in Ebonyi State. "I was taken to University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Enugu for treatment but I was rejected by the hospital management. The doctors and nurses avoided me like the plague because of my condition and asked my mother to check elsewhere. Angelic private nurse to the rescue Moved by the sufferings of Benita, a nurse attached to a private hospital in Ishiagu community, Favour Hospital and Maternity, Mrs Igwe Justina Obiageri, took it upon herself to dress Benita's wounds every two days at almost no cost. Speaking with Sunday Sun, Mrs Igwe said that as a mother, she was emotionally moved to assist the girl. She condemned the medical officers at UNTH for rejecting a patient, saying it was unprofessional. Igwe disclosed that when she started attending to the victim, she was already decaying. She said that she scooped out a number of maggots from the wound. "If the medical officers at UNTH had attended to her, her condition wouldn't have worsened. I found maggots in her wounds and they were biting her. I had to give her tetanus toxide injection. Igwe called on good spirited individuals, especially the Ebonyi State Government to come to Benita's aid as she needs surgical operation to restore her looks to normal. Pain, tears of a mother Benita's aged mother, Celina Okereke, while interacting with Sunday Sun almost broke down in tears. She lamented that friends, family and close relatives have deserted them. But not willing to give up on the girl that shut the doors of her womb, Celina said she had sought for solution in the available traditional medicine homes which the family could afford without fruitful result. "I took her to a number of traditional medicine homes. I have been finding it very difficult to cater to her needs and that of my grandchildren who were abandoned for me by their mothers. I have no helper; I have been managing Benita's problem without help," she said. Celina recalled that Benita started suffering from birth. She was delivered through caesarean surgery. From one problem to the other, the mother and child spent five months in the hospital before the doctors certified them medically fit to go home. "It was hellish giving birth to Benita. I passed through caesarean operation in a hospital in Abuja. We spent five months in that hospital before the doctors said we could go home," she recalled. Benita's prior woes For the 22-year-old spinster, life has been very cruel. From the day she was born to her present age, it has been a tale of agony. In fact, if her life were to be a book, it probably would be half-filledl with stories of pain. She is also epileptic, a condition that began to manifest when she was 12 years old. She recalled that she falls down about seven times every day. She said that the condition has defied several medication. She added that they sold their family land to raise money for her treatment. "I don't know why these things are happening to me. They said that my future is very bright; hence, the enemies are hell-bent on cutting it off," she lamented. Benita, however, pleaded with Governor David Umahi, the Minister of Science and Technology, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu and other good spirited individuals to come to her aid. Her desire is to become a fashion designer and would appreciate vocational skill training in the making of clothes. With skill acquired she would be able to fend for herself and take care of his mother. In the meantime she desperately needs to undergo corrective surgery to restore her neck region and burnt face to normalcy. •Benita can be reached through: 07036519048; donations should be sent through the account of the nurse that is caring for her, using the following details: Account Name: Igwe Justina Obiageri. EFCC arrests Banker for swindling school in Rivers, returns money to woman Posted: 17 Sep 2017 12:48 AM PDT The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has arrested a banker with Access Bank identified as Cyril Ndakoji Amaechi for defrauding Jephthah International School. The EFCC said that Amaechi received N36, 186, 012 (thirty-six million, one hundred and eighty-sixty thousand and twelve naira) from the school and diverted same for his private use. The South-South Zonal Head of the EFCC, Mr. Ishaq Salihu, who disclosed this in Port Harcourt, said the suspect, a marketer in the bank, had connived with two other persons to swindle the school management. Salihu also added that while Amaechi was using the schools deposit to build a mansion for himself, he (suspect) issued fake bank statement to the school management, giving the impression that their funds were intact. The building, which is sited at Rumuekini in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, housed a three-bedroom flat and a double two-bedroom flats. Speaking further, Salihu explained that the banker got two of his friends involved in the crime in a bid to ensure that the school management was convinced that their money was intact in the bank. He added that Amaechi had managed to use monies from somebody's bank account to pay the school when they came for withdrawal, adding that the suspect later found it difficult to balance the two accounts. The EFCC zonal director said, "The proprietress of Jephthah International School reported to her banker, Access Bank, that some of her cheques cannot be cashed. In the evening of that day, Access Bank, through their representative reported to the EFCC to look into the matter. "Investigators immediately swung into action and the culprit, the principal suspect, and his accomplices were arrested. The proceeds of the crime have been recovered substantially. We realised that he has built a one-three bedroom apartment and two two-bedroom apartments from the proceeds of his criminal activity. "He is a marketer and accounts officer of Jephthah International School. He was literally robbing Peter to pay Paul. When the centre could not hold, the school realised that their cheques could not be honoured and reported back to the bank to find out what was happening. "Earlier on, he (suspect) had got one of his accomplices in the person of Oboma Chisom, who posed as a Customer Relations Officer of Access Bank to place a call to the Administrator of Jephthah International School, that she should tarry a while; that the bank was having some network problems and that her cheques will be honoured within a short period of time." The EFCC zonal head explained that the suspect got in touch with one Adebayo, who helped him to design letter-headed papers of his (Adebayo) organisation and succeeded in paying the proprietor of the school staff salaries and thereby temporarily eased the building tension. "He was trying to balance two different accounts and the same time. We have gone for interim forfeiture order to enable us to seize the property he acquired with proceeds from the crime," Salihu said. The proprietor of Jephthah International Secondary School, Port Harcourt, Edith Chukwuogo, thanked the EFCC for their commitment towards ensuring that the suspect was fished out. She also expressed gratitude to Access Bank for deciding to pay the money diverted by the suspect. culled from Olu famous Mr Olumide's Blog |
Thugs attack Igbo traders in Sokoto | Mr Olumide's Blog Posted: 17 Sep 2017 12:47 AM PDT Palpable fear gripped residents of Sokoto State as some youths, on Saturday, attacked Igbo traders in the state. The incident, which visibly shook Igbo merchants on Bello Way and Emir Yahaya areas of Sokoto metropolis, forced other Igbo traders at nearby Sahara street to close down their shops and run for safety. SUNDAY PUNCH learnt that armed youths, in their hundreds, set ablaze a building along Bello Way, where Igbo traders have shops. One of the victims, identified as Chief Okafor, said, "My house was razed by some suspected arsonists. Another victim, William Emmanuel Usoh, told journalists that his Honda Civic car was torched by some unidentified youths along Emir Yahaya Road. Usoh explained that the timely arrival of men of the Nigeria Civil Defence and Security Corps, however, prevented the youths from destroying more property in the area. When contacted, the President-General of Igbo Community in Sokoto State, Charles Uwaga, confirmed the incident. He said reports reaching him indicated that some of his members were attacked within the state capital. "A member just called me that his house was razed. There were also cases of vandalised shops," Uwaga said. Reacting to the development, the state government urged all residents to go about their activities without fear of molestation. The government stated that arrangements had been put in place to protect lives and property. culled from MPNB Mr Olumide's Blog |

5 Things Pastors Should Not Do Posted: 16 Sep 2017 11:48 PM PDT Don't ever resign your church in a fit of passion. In a rush of anger. Do that and you'll inflict great harm on the church and ruin all the good will you have accumulated by years of faithful service. That's a huge no-no for preachers. Last Sunday, I was pleased to see a military chaplain back in town, visiting his family and our church with his wife and children. We reminisced over a little history going back to when he was a local pastor. One Sunday morning, exasperated over the lack of faithfulness from the church members, as the pastor, he had unloaded on the congregation and ended up walking out on them in the middle of his message. Then, if that were not bad enough, in that evening's service, he began by apologizing. But he kept on talking. The more he talked and explained, the more the anger still festering inside broke loose and spewed out onto the congregation. Once again, he walked out, leaving the congregation sitting there stunned. The next day I mediated between him and his deacons, as they accepted his resignation. That was a number of years ago, and he tells me that, like untold millions of people before him, the Army made him grow up. Okay. Do not do that. Do not vent your anger on your congregation. Not ever. Here are five others no-no's that come to mind…. 1) Never violate a confidence, either in or out of the pulpit. "But that story is too good not to tell." Ever heard that? Or worse, have you ever said it? If you must, ask the individual for permission to tell the story no closer than a hundred miles away and assure them you will camouflage details and change names so no one would ever make the connection. 2) Never tell a story on your wife without her full support. And I mean enthusiastic affirmation, not begrudging. However, don't be surprised if she never gives permission for you to use anything she said or did. Most wives do not appreciate becoming the subject of her husband's sermon. Violating that will result in conditions you would not wish on your worst enemy, pastor. It's not worth it, believe me. That said, if you can, see if she will agree to let you tell the story as having happened to "a pastor I know and his wife." If you do this, you must rehearse it 23 times to make sure nothing slips out that shouldn't. 3) Never fail to minister to someone because "they don't deserve it." Be thankful you are not given what you deserve. "Freely you have received; freely give." 4) Never make a promise you do not keep. If you said you'd look something up and get back to the questioner, do that promptly. If you fail in this and remember it sometime later, write them a note nowwith a sincere apology. And on that subject, never fail to apologize when an apology is in order. Far from that diminishing you, you will grow in the minds and hearts of those to whom you apologize. 5) Never take the week between Christmas and New Year's as personal vacation time. It's the quietest week of the year, and a great time to go into the office for a few hours each day and get some work done. Since nothing is happening at church, you and your family will have the evenings to yourself. I always loved that week. [written by Joe McKeever] culled from Olu famous Mr Olumide's Blog |

Sources who have seen the video tell TMZ there are several clips. The first appears to show a woman and Kevin in a club getting cozy. The tape then cuts to a bed, where you don't see the people in the bed ... but hear it creaking and someone getting slapped. You never see Kevin in the 2nd clip. The 3rd clip shows 2 people milling around a room, one of them looks vaguely like Kevin. Sources tell TMZ a woman has allegedly demanded money from Kevin after shooting a video with him in which Kevin and the woman are engaged in "sexually suggestive" conduct. We are told it is NOT a sex tape, but looks like it is a prelude to sex. We're told that at a point in the tape when the action is the heaviest, you cannot actually see Kevin. culled from MPNB Mr Olumide's Blog |
Posted: 16 Sep 2017 11:17 PM PDT An Ohio fire department has suspended one of its volunteer firefighters for a racist Facebook post suggesting he'd prefer to save a dog in an emergency than a black person. Tyler Roysdon, a volunteer for Franklin Township, wrote that if he had to choose between saving a dog or a black man from a burning building, the dog would get priority, because "one dog is more important than a million n****rs." According to the Huffington Post,Roysdon has since removed the post from his Facebook page, but a screenshot appears below.Once township officials discovered the post, Roysdon was suspended indefinitely, according to local station WHIO-TV. The township will hold a disciplinary hearing for him on Sept. 27, the station reported. Because he is a volunteer, Roysdon is only paid when he is called to duty. Authorities said he will not be called while the suspension is in effect. culled from MPNB Mr Olumide's Blog |

5 Things People Love About iPhones Posted: 16 Sep 2017 11:13 PM PDT Ever sat down and wondered why iPhones have such a great appeal to its users? Jumia Travel shares 5 things to love about iPhones. 1. Its Design iPhones look great, they look classy and sleek and that is one thing that can hardly be denied. Even after many upgrades and changes, the iPhone still has the most singular look of any smartphone in existence. The fact is, there is simply no smartphone device in the market that is as immediately recognizable as an iPhone – there is simply none like it. In addition, the phone has a practically flawless fit and finish and is made with very high quality materials. Its Class Having an iPhone is like 'having the month's hottest accessory'. There is a status that comes with the phone that is practically unrivaled, for this reason the phone is more or less a precious object to most iPhone users and an extension of themselves (they paid good money to attain that class, so they want you to see it). Some iPhone buyers are even more attracted to its prestigious status symbol than the function of the phone itself. Its Operating System Another unique feature of the iPhone which is unlike any other is its operating system – it leaves its users coming back for more. Apple releases a new mobile operating system every year, with updates that keep making everything about the phone so perfectly engineered to the way its users like it. The constant updates keep users coming back for more. Its Apps iPhones have the advantage of the best quality and quantity of available apps. Usually, the best apps can immediately be found on the Apple app store the minute they come out. Android, more particularly Microsoft and BlackBerry, have had more trouble convincing developers to create software for their devices, mainly because Apple users spend more on apps, which leads to a bigger potential payout for developers, so developers are more keen on immediately developing apps for Apple. It's Incredibly Easy To Use Over many years, iPhones still remain the easiest phone to use by far and its users love the phone for this. It has also managed to maintain its classic look and feel over many years, which is considerably impressive. culled from Olu famous Mr Olumide's Blog |

Troops launch manhunt for Kanu as probe of foreign links begins | Mr Olumide's Blog Posted: 16 Sep 2017 10:47 PM PDT Troops yesterday launched a manhunt for Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) leader Nnamdi Kanu , barely 24 hours after the group's proscription.Nothing has been heard about Kanu since the proscription. Some sources yesterday said he had gone underground.Kanu is on bail for the alleged treason charges preferred against him. The Nation learnt yesterday that his bail sureties might be asked by the security agencies to account for him. Besides, security agencies are probing IPOB leader's alleged foreign links. Investigators are said to be analysing a video clip of Kanu and a Turkish citizen as part of the probe. A source, while confirming the search for Kanu, said: "Troops have been given a firm order to fish out and arrest the IPOB leader. As a prelude to it, the Defence Headquarters on Friday declared IPOB as a terrorist organisation. Asked what if he is not found the source said: " We might follow legal process by holding his sureties responsible. These sureties will have to produce him."On the probe of Kanu's alleged foreign links , another source said: "We are looking into the allegations of foreign support for Kanu. We are doing a profiling of his foreign contacts. We have some clues but we need to dig deeper." The Nation can also confirm that government insisted on non-withdrawal of soldiers from Abia State to avoid a situation whereby the IPOB will "take advantage and unleash mayhem" on innocent citizens. Sources said the presidency overruled Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu on the withdrawal of troops because the police alone could not cope with the "grave security" situation. "The governor wanted a political solution to a military matter. But the federal government cannot watch and allow the situation to degenerate," one of the sources said. The Embassy of the United States has asked Americans in Abia and Plateau states to review their security and maintain a high level of vigilance. The Embassy's cautionary note was contained in its travel alert. The Nation culled from MPNB Mr Olumide's Blog |

World to end Sept. 23, says numerologist | Mr Olumide's Blog Posted: 16 Sep 2017 10:32 PM PDT There are predictions that the world will on Sept. 23, 2017 following expected collision of a planet with earth. A Christian numerologist David Meade who made the claim said that strange things were now happening in the world which were predicted in the past as signs of the end time. Meade said verses in Luke 21: 25 to 26 is the sign that recent events, such as the recent solar eclipse and Hurricane Harvey, are signs of the apocalypse, according to British newspaper The Sun. The verses read: "25: There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken.' "26: Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.' Sept. 23 is a date that was pinpointed using codes from the Bible, as well as a "date marker" in the pyramids of Giza in Egypt. Meade has built his theory, which is viewed with a widely skeptical lens, on the so-called Planet X, which is also known as Nibiru, which he believes will pass Earth on Sept. 23, causing volcanic eruptions, tsunamis and earthquakes. culled from MPNB Mr Olumide's Blog |
