Kylie Jenner finally reveals why she broke up with Tyga | Mr Olumide's Blog

Posted: 21 Aug 2017 04:07 AM PDT

Kylie Jenner  opened up about her break-up from Tyga, insisting there had not been a fight but she wanted to experience other things.
The beauty mogul and rapper split in April after nearly three years of dating as she felt 'too young' to be in a serious relationship.

Speaking on her new E! show, The Life of Kylie, she said:

'There was absolutely nothing wrong with me and T. We'll always have a bond.
'There was no crazy fight. We decided, well, I decided, that I'm really young. I don't want to look back in five years from now and feel like he took something from me, when he's really not that type of person.'
The hardest part about having a relationship for me is just that it's blasted all over the Internet. You have to hear about other people's opinions on who you're with. It's a lot,' she said.
'Most of the time it's just not true. Like, you have no idea what I'm like in a relationship, or what kind of bond I have with somebody else.
'You cannot win the Internet. There's no winning. It's just unnecessary negativity. I feel like I'm in a relationship with the world sometimes,' Kylie said

(Photo)10 year old robber & cultist robs detained suspects, escapes police cell in Bayelsa | Mr Olumide's Blog

Posted: 21 Aug 2017 03:42 AM PDT

10-year-old Victor Tarekedomoni, has been arrested for robbery after he once escaped from police custody by squeezing through the iron bars of a police cell.

He was re-arrested on Sandy Road, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State and according to the Sun ,the Bayelsa State Commissioner of Police, Amba Asuquo, Victor said had been associated with robbery gang that had terrorized and robbed over 20 victims.

The police boss said Victor specialized in robbing victims of phones at bus stops and breaking into houses by squeezing through anti-burglary iron-bars, to ransack the homes, during which he would cart away jewellery, money, phones, and other valuables.

He said that the terrible 10-year-old had led several successful operations before nemesis caught up with him.

Asuquo revealed that in April, 2017, Victor and his gang allegedly broke into a particular house in Okaka area of the city. While he was ransacking the house, the victim raised the alarm, which attracted neighbours who rushed to the scene. The boy quickly clambered into the ceiling. But the neighbours fished Victor out from the ceiling and arrested him. But members of the gang escaped.

The victim, Eyarike Ebi, said that the incident was the second time that the gang had robbed his house. The first time, Victor and the gang allegedly stole N250,000 and other valuables items.

Following that first instance, the suspect, Victor, was arrested and handed over to Ekeli Police Station, from where he was transferred to the custody of the Special Armed Robbery Squad in the state capital.

To the chagrin of the operatives of SARS, Victor, the Artful Dodger of Bayelsa, squeezed through the iron-bars, climbed the fence and escaped from custody.

The four police officers investigating Victor's case paid a price for the boy's successful escape and were thrown into police cell for two weeks before they were released, to go after him. Victor who was later re-arrested in July 2017 at Sandy Road, Yenagoa.

Funny enough, the suspect was alleged to have even robbed other detained suspects of their phones and money while in the cell.
"Victor is too smart in everything he does, and also smart in lying even though he was caught in the act," the police boss said.

When he spoke with Sunday Sun, Victor said:
"I lost my father and my mother very early in life. I was staying with my uncle, (name withheld), who taught me how to rob. My uncle has sent me on several occasions to rob in the area.
"There was one time he sent me to an office to steal a TV and their computer, which I did. I was attending the Universal Basic Primary Community Education School at Ovom, I was in primary 4 when I dropped out of school. What happened was that my uncle went to rob, but when the police came to look for him, he ran away from house. So, I dropped out of school and joined a robbery gang.
"I have been involved in several armed robberies; when we go for operation, the older members of the gang will lift me up the fence, I will jump down and pass through the burglarproof bars, enter the house, ransack the place, take money, jewellery and then escape. After the robbery, they will give me N1000 or N1500, which I used to feed myself daily.

Victor, who hails from Egaibiri community in Sagbama Local Government Area, Bayelsa State said further:
"I have robbed over 20 victims. I stole their phones at bus stops or along the street.
"It was when I spent one month in SARS custody, I decided to escape and squeezed through the iron-bars of the cell. I always slept in the store at Arietalin Street, Ovom, before policemen re-arrested me at Sandy area in Yenagoa."
Victor who seems penitent appealed to the Bayelsa State governor to rescue and train him. His words

: "If the state government or the governor of Bayelsa can come to my rescue and train me, I can be leader in Bayelsa tomorrow. I am talented and blessed but I didn't have parental care. That is why I went into robbery and joined a gang. I am a member of Greenlander cult group. I don't want to go back to robbing again. I want to be a good citizen of Bayelsa.

"I want the public to forgive me because it was my uncle who introduced me to robbery. I started stealing before I joined the gang. The names of the other six members of the gang who are still on run are Junior, Finefine, Daddy Boy, Godspower, Kempade and Goodtimes."

Asuquo said that Victor would be sent to the Juvenile Court while the police command intensifies effort to arrest the other members of the gang.

Ogun couple torture, chain 11- year-old in toilet | Mr Olumide's Blog

Posted: 21 Aug 2017 03:42 AM PDT

The police in Ogun State have arrested a couple, Chioma and Innocent Anozie, for allegedly torturing an 11-year-old girl, Oluchi, in Ebute, in the Ibafo area of Ogun State.

The couple allegedly flogged the victim with ropes, starved her of food, and locked her up in a toilet for two days for wanting to play with other children in the neighbourhood.

Some residents, who  found her crying in the toilet,  reportedly called the attention of some soldiers in the community.

But reprieve did not come Oluchi's way until the intervention of Punch's correspondent who alerted the Ogun State Police Command Headquarters.

Some policemen from the Ibafo division, led by the Divisional Crime Officer, later arrived at the scene and rescued the victim.

PUNCH Metro gathered that the primary four pupil started living with the couple about four years ago when she was brought from her hometown in Owerri, Imo State.

However, she was said to have been subjected to different forms of inhuman treatment by the couple who had yet to have a child.

Most residents of Ebute Road, Ibafo, who spoke said Chioma, in particular, always tortured the victim for every offence.

The landlady of their house, Mrs. Florence Sanusi, noted that cries of the victim always filled the compound each time Chioma assaulted her.

She said,
"They have been living in my house since December 2014. I, however, observed that she (Chioma) always flogged the girl. There was a day it rained heavily and I was hearing the girl's cry. When I queried her husband, he said nothing was happening.
"But when I saw the girl the next day, her body was full of torture marks. Her eye was also swollen. She told me her guardian flogged her with cables.
"Recently, I heard her crying again and when I could not bear it, I warned them to stop the abuse or I would evict them from my house. Because of my reaction, they instructed the girl that whenever they flogged her, she must not cry. So, I started to hear muffled groans.
"I was fed up with their action and was planning to issue them a notice to quit this morning (Friday) when I was informed that they had locked the girl in the toilet without food for the past two days. When I talked to the girl, she said her madam said she would be in the toilet for 21 days and that was why I raised the alarm."

PUNCH Metro learnt that some soldiers, who got the information, visited the house and interviewed the victim.

After getting her details, the soldiers reportedly called a relative who brought her from the village, asking if she was aware of the maltreatment. The relative in turn called the couple to query them on the incident.

A resident, who did not want to be identified, said the soldiers reported at the Ibafo Police Station and returned with two policemen.

He said, "When the policemen came, they called the woman's husband on the telephone and he warned them not to break his door. The policemen did not stay long before leaving the girl in the toilet."

The residents contacted PUNCH Metro shortly afterwards and our correspondent arrived at the scene around 6pm. Oluchi was still in the toilet.

Our correspondent spoke with the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, who assured that the policemen would return to the scene.

While waiting for the policemen, Oluchi appealed to our correspondent for help, saying she wanted to return to her parents.

She said, "My parents have seven children and I am their fifth child. All my siblings are living with other distant relatives. My madam (Chioma) is the daughter of my father's sister .
"When I was brought from the village four years ago, she said I would be cleaning the house and washing clothes and dishes.  I am supposed to be in Junior Secondary School 2, but she put me in primary 4.

"Before we came to Ibafo, her husband used to allow me to play freely. But since we relocated here, she stopped me from going out. She said all the people in this house are criminals and they can use me for money ritual. She always beats me with ropes and cables.
"I have been inside the toilet since yesterday morning (Thursday). She locked me up because I went to take a story book in her room. She said I was lying and that I actually went to look for keys to open the door and go out.

"She used celotape to seal my mouth and chained my legs. She flogged me with ropes and a stick. She said I would serve 21 punishments. I only took garri on Thursday morning."

PUNCH Metro observed that the victim had a Nokia phone with which the relative earlier called by the soldiers was communicating with her.

She was reportedly instructed to break the toilet door open and get spare keys to access another exit door from the three-bedroomed flat.

While our correspondent and other residents awaited the arrival of the police, a resident observed that the victim had disappeared from the toilet's window which faced the passageway.

She was spotted tiptoeing out through the exit door at the backyard and was held.

Just then, the relative called the telephone line again to know if she had left the vicinity.

Our correspondent intercepted the phone and put the call on speaker.

"Don't talk to anybody. Did you hear me? Oya move fast," the woman, later identified as Victoria, said.

At that point, policemen from the Ibafo division arrived and took the frightened girl into custody.

A cleric, who stayed in the house, Segun Oshoffa, said he had foreseen the situation getting to a crisis level, adding that the couple didn't heed his advice.

He said, "I observed that the couple needed a child badly. I told them that if they wanted God to answer their prayers, they should stop assaulting the girl.
"Both husband and wife changed for about three days. But afterwards, they continued with the assault.
"I called them the second time and urged them to return the girl to her parents if they could not take care of her. But they didn't listen to me."

The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Oyeyemi, confirmed the arrest of the suspects to our correspondent on Sunday.

He promised to issue a statement on the incident detailing the suspects' statements to the police.

Woman who live streamed sister's death after car crash defends herself | Mr Olumide's Blog

Posted: 21 Aug 2017 03:42 AM PDT

A woman accused of killing her little sister and injuring another teen girl says she looked "like a monster" in a video she live-streamed of the deadly crash last month.

Obdulia Sanchez was charged with drunken driving and vehicular manslaughter after swerving off a California road, killing her 14-year-old sister Jacqueline Sanchez and injuring Manuela Seja, also 14, while filming the July 21 Instagram video of the tragedy.

"I didn't even know I looked like a monster — like I look like a freaking horrible monster," Sanchez told KSEE-TV Friday. "That was not my intention at all."We were perfectly freaking fine,"  "Then next thing I know, we started going left. We started going left, then I started to stop the car. Then we flipped over."

Sanchez expressed remorse over her younger sister's death and said she started "freaking out" when no one was in the backseat. Both girls had no seatbelts on and were ejected from the vehicle, authorities said.

"I knew she was dead. Because I took her pulse and she had no pulse," Sanchez told the TV station.

Sanchez continued live streaming the aftermath that apparently shows her next to her dead sister's body. The video also captured her calling 911.
"My sister is f--king dying. Look," Sanchez says in the video. "I f--king love my sister to death. I don't give a f--k.""This is the last thing I wanted to happen, OK? I don't f---ing care though, I'm going to hold it down. Rest in peace, sweetie. If you don't survive, I am so f---ing sorry," Sanchez can be heard saying.
She told KSEE that it wasn't the first time she's filmed while driving.

"We do it all the time — all the time. Trust me, it's like a reflex. Like I haven't crashed, you know?" she said. "Everybody does it."

Sanchez has pleaded not guilty to all charges. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 13. If convicted, she faces more than 13 years in prison.

Men Who Smuggled Snakes Into Nigeria Disappear

Posted: 21 Aug 2017 03:19 AM PDT

Two men arrested in connection with the smuggling of consignments containing 140 different species of snakes and 660 other animals imported into Nigeria from Cameroon have disappeared from the custody of Nigerian Agricultural Quarantine Services (NAQS) in Cross River State.

The suspects, identified as Julius Novigana and Victor Agbor, were handed over to officials of the NAQS on July 26 by the Customs Area Comptroller in charge of Calabar Free Trade Zone, Mrs. Nanbyen Burromvyat, following their interception.

But the state director in charge of the NAQS, Mr. Sunday Ukut, on Friday told the Minister of State for Environment, Ibrahim Jubril, that the two suspects had disappeared.

"Just two persons were brought here and we have no clue where they have disappeared to," Ukut simply told Jubril on Friday.

Jubril was on an official visit to the office in Calabar to hand over the reptiles to the University of Uyo for research.

The minister, who showed surprise at the disclosure, said he was not happy with the agency's poor handling of the case.

He said the smugglers would have given information on where they got the reptiles from and where they were taking them to and for what purpose.

"But the agency has messed up the vigilance and good intentions of the Customs service officers who intercepted the consignment," he said.

However, while handing over the reptiles to the University of Uyo representatives, Jubril said the importers wanted to use Nigeria as a transit point to smuggle the animals to Rotterdam in the Netherlands and Luxemburg, the original destination, as inscribed on the consignments.

"The importers thought they could use the Nigerian water channel or airports to smuggle these reptiles because they considered our airport and water channel as easy transit points for their nefarious activities, but thanks to the Customs for their vigilance; they intercepted the items," he said.

He said the reptiles had the capacity to wipe out the country's fauna if released without proper research because of their poisonous nature, adding that it was for that reason that the ministry decided to release them to the University of Uyo to conduct appropriate research.

How God Moves People From One Level To Another

Posted: 21 Aug 2017 02:19 AM PDT

"God's purpose in allowing difficulties, tribulations, calamities, infirmity, persecutions, and hardship to come our way is that we mighttake advantage of the opportunity and buy gold." - Bob Sorge
Dear intercessors,
Experiencing the refining fire of God is very difficult, but it's a necessary part of life. As we grow in our prayer lives, God subdues our flesh life in a deeper way. Stripping the soul of its power is not easy, but we need this if God is to bring forth resurrection life through us. He must allow brokenness to remove our fleshly strength and our own selfish ways of handling life.

We all know how hard this can be...
Our hearts may not be yielded in certain areas, and difficulties will bring us to a deeper surrender to God's ways.

Suffering is perhaps the quickest way to grow spiritually.
Most of us would testify that our times of greatest spiritual growth have been when we were in the fire of trials and difficulty. The key to suffering is to handle it correctly when it comes.

I remember being ill for two weeks with the flu. Like all of you, I hate illness. But God used it to bring me to a deeper level of brokenness. I wanted to grow in my understanding of God, so during that time I asked Him:

"What do you want to teach me? How can I grow through this time of suffering?"

In order for God to train us in His ways, He permits His fire to hit us. This fire causes us to die more to ourselves so that He can live more fully through us. Sickness was hard for me, but I believe that in the end God used it for my advantage.

The difficult circumstances you face, if handled well, will make you a winner in the end.

It's never easy to go through difficulty because we have to wrestle through to a changed understanding of God. I had been reading the book of Job. He was blameless and upright, and terrible trials hit his life and his family. Imagine losing almost everything! Job survived this terrible experience and never gave up his faithor trust in God.

If we follow his example, we can also persevere until our deliverance comes. God did not immediately answer Job's prayers. He was in the refiner's fire of difficulty for a long time. But in the end, God blessed Job in a far greater way than anyone could imagine. Sometimes we face unanswered prayer and persistent trials as God chooses to refine our character. He wants to bring us higher in resurrection power, faith, and fruitfulness. These are the ways of God.

Why God Allows the Refiner's Fire
"My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing" (James 1:2-4).

Perhaps you are in a time of trial right now. You have unanswered questions. You cannot see your way through. The trial may seem like it will never end. You ask,"Why is God letting me go through this fire?" Let's look at some reasons why:

  • God lets us go through the fire in order to prepare us for His plan and purposes for our life - We are now in a process of growth because God knows what He will do through our life. Many times God permits trials in order to produce a greater maturity and fruitfulness in us. Suffering is a necessary part of life. We can't become Christlike without it. God's first priority is to make us fruitful, not comfortable.

Whatever you are going through is for a positive purpose in your life if you handle it correctly. God is personalizing your troubles in order to help you move forward in His design for your life. He wants to bring you to a place of abundance.

"He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters… He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me" (Psalm 18:16, 19).

  • God is holy, and nothing sinful can survive the fire of His presence - He burns away that which is unholy in our lives so that we are purified in His presence. This fire includes pain, loss of control, intense pressure, and change. God is jealous for our hearts and wants us for Himself.

If you feel His refining fire, count it all joy because God is developing your life for a purpose. You are being drawn into a place of greater intimacy and knowledge of Him.

"For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God" (Deuteronomy 4:24).

  • God is producing character in our life that is worth more than gold - The gold that God is developing in our lives is a refined character. It's a purified faith. Gold refers to the nature of Christ and not big ministries or any of man's ideas of success. In times of crisis, God wants us to fix our focus on Him and find Him in the adversity.

Take advantage of this opportunity to develop godly character. Let your faith be tested and stretched. Persevere and endure through the tribulation. Embrace God's refining fire with expectancy. Hold onto the truth that you will come forth as gold.

"When he has tested us, I shall come forth as gold" (Job 23:20).
If you are personally experiencing the refiner's fire, don't give up.
God has a purpose in all that you are going through. He is developing your faith and your character. It is worth far more than gold. He will bring you through in His timing and make you a winner.

Nigerian Youths: We Are Ready To Take Over From Old Politicians

Posted: 21 Aug 2017 01:19 AM PDT

As the 2019 elections approach, various youth groups in the country have expressed readiness to effect generational power shift, sending a signal to old politicians that they would be disgraced in the forthcoming elections.

Latching on to former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo's call lon youths to democratically wrest power from old politicians, they said older generation of politicians should give them a chance or the youths would utilize their numerical straight to vote them out of office.

Arewa Youths Leader, Yerima Shetima: "Come 2019, they would be disgraced if they participate in politics. We constitute 65 or 70 per cent of votes in the country and we will ensure that our votes go to ensure that we have order in this country. We will disgrace them in 2019. We will make sure they are massively embarrassed."

Obasanjo, at the Youth Governance Dialogue in Abeokuta, Ogun State, last week, said since the old guards are unwilling to quit the stage and would not give leadership positions to the youths on a platter of gold, it was high time the youths picked the gauntlet.

"Nobody will choose you; you have to choose yourself. Why can't you become president at the age 40? Why can't you become president at the age of 35?

Why can't you become president at the age of 30? General Gowon became Head of State at 33. I became Head of State at 39. And it is because of my track record. But how are you prepared? Are you really prepared?" he challenged the youths.

Expressing youths' readiness for the challenge, Yerima said, "The likes of Obasanjo should go back to their homes and relax and be ready to offer useful advice when necessary to younger generation of leaders, on technical matters on governance. We will learn some lessons from their history, but we would not work in line with what they did during their tenure."

Ohanaeze Youth Leader, Chukwuma Okparaezeukwu, in a similarly vein, said the youths feel greatly challenged by the call. "We are not only challenged, but highly encouraged, motivated and feel reawakened.

It is a call for a positive, diplomatic and sustainable revolution. It must not be the regular revolution that comes by force or bloodshed, but one that comes with strategy, raising youth's consciousness and participation.

"However, as much as we feel highly motivated by former President Obasanjo's statement, we the youths must wake up and embrace our responsibility because this is our time.

Otherwise, the next generation will vilify us the way we do the older generation today.

"You see, for now, some of the youths have allowed themselves to be used by the current crop of politicians to dish out hate speeches which polarise the youth groups across the country. But we will narrow this gap in the current reawakening towards the current move in order to work strategically and work in unity towards the goal."

Also, Protem National Chairman, Alliance for New Nigeria, (ANN) a political association seeking Independent National Electoral Commission's registration, Dr. Jay Osi Samuels, said, "The statement is not only appropriate but timely, because we, the youths, can no longer wait for them to give power to us, rather we are stepping out to grab it from them."

He said the declaration was in tandem with the "objectives for the ANN, "because we are creating a credible platform apart from all the other platforms that are being managed by the older politicians.

That platform is what we will use to actualize our goals of grabbing power from the old generation. It is a movement being created for the new leaders of Nigeria. Samuels, a Harvardtrained medical doctor, said the youths have the numerical advantage. "Potentially, we have the bigger number.

I mean the youths constitute majority of the eligible voting age in Nigeria, but what we have witnessed over the years have led to loss of faith in the political system in Nigeria, but what we are going about to let people know is that they cannot just despair, they cannot lose hope, that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and if we put our acts together, we can collectively take over the reins of power from these older generation of leaders.

Reminded of the role Obasanjo played in the election of Buhari, who is among the older generation politicians, he said: "We are not relying on any past leader... We are not relying on anybody, what we are doing is that we want to show that with or without them, we can do it by ourselves.

"They themselves got into power years ago, when they were even younger than us. So we are taking the bull by the horns, with or without their support, we are going to achieve our aim."

Mr. Gbadabo Rhodes- Vervor, a youth in his early 30s who contested for the chairmanship in Ikeja Local Government in Lagos State, recently on the platform of the KOWA Party, scoring less than 1,000 votes, said "We, as a generation, need to get more involved, not just on whatssapp groups or on other social media, but in our communities and people in our wards….political participation is not just about running, political participation is diverse.

"Youths can either contest or sponsor political party/candidates whom they believe in their ideals. They must also join a political party and be active and most importantly register to vote for folks they believe in on election day."

He said the youths need to actively start making a difference in the communities so that they can become influencers.
