GROUP ALLEGES EKWEREMADU, PETER OBI. AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL ARE SPONSORS OF BIAFRAN AGITATORS | Mr Olumide's Blog Posted: 05 Jun 2017 04:09 AM PDT A group known as the Society for Civil Liberties & the Rule of Law (Intersociety) and Southeast Based Coalition of Human Rights Organizations (SBCHROs) has named some persons it claims are allegedly funding the Biafra agitators. The group, according to Daily Times, alleged that deputy Senate president, Ike Ekweremadu, Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra state, and former governor of Anambra, Peter Obi were all part of those funding the Biafra agitators. NAIJ.com learnt that the group recently alleged that Governor Willie Obiano gave car and cash gifts to the IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu. The group in its statement listed those allegedly funding the Biafra agitators to include: 1. Amnesty International, 2. Alaigbo Development Foundation, 3. Igbo Youth Movement, 4. Ike Ekweremadu, 5. Peter Obi, 6. Joe Achuzia, 7. US Embassy in Nigeria, 8. Mike Akuoma, 9. Ugochukwu Chinwuba, 10. Ikechukwu Okoye, 12. Prince Emeka Onyeso, 13. Okechukwu Nwanguma, 14. Aloysius Attah, 15. Ibuchukwu Ezike, 16. Tochukwu Ezeoke and his Igbo Ekunie group, 17. Justus and Justine Ijeomas, 18. Alex Olisa, Damian Ugwu, 19. Damian Ogudike, Tools & Allied Market and its leadership, 20. Ekwenche Group, USA, 21. Uche Asiegbu, 22. George Onyeibe, 23. Samuel Kamanyoku and others. According to the group, these patrons of the Biafra movement were diverting resources meant for improving the lives of Nigerians to the pro-Biafra groups to finance their insurgency. Meanwhile, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has warned that it will be a big mistake on the part of the federal government and security operatives to re-arrest Nnamdi Kanu because arresting him again will draw the attention of the world leaders. The pro-Biafra group in a statement by its media and publicity secretary, Comrade Emma Powerful on Sunday, June 4, said Nnamdi Kanu is not afraid of going to prison a second time. ALLEGED DOUBLE REGISTRATION: SHOCK AS YAHAYA BELLO’S DISAPPEARS FROM INEC LIST | Mr Olumide's Blog Posted: 05 Jun 2017 04:09 AM PDT Shock as governor's name disappears from INEC list Agency probes alleged double registration Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello's name has disappeared from the voters register after being accused of double registration. Bello's name has been delisted, but the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has a photograph showing how he was registered at the Government House, Lokoja. The commission has raised an investigative committee to unravel the "mystery surrounding the alleged double registration by the governor". Heads may roll in the Kogi State office of INEC for the alleged "untoward activities of some of our staff". INEC alleged that the governor first registered in Abuja in January 2011 and reregistered on May 23, 2017 at the Government House, Lokoja. But the governor on Friday said his ghost might have been registered by INEC because he was away in Dubai when he was said to have registered again. As INEC tried to ascertain the true position of the governor's registration status, a fresh problem has cropped up. It was learnt that INEC established that some of its staff were deployed in the Government House for Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) of the governor. The state has denied that it took place. It was gathered that although the commission had the photograph of the governor's registration, it could not trace any Yahaya Bello on its CVR list for May 23, 2017. There was suspicion last night that the list of voters registered on May 23 might have been tampered with by some INEC employees. A source, who spoke in confidence said: "The INEC management has raised an investigative team to look at the controversy over the allegation of double registration by the governor. "It is however curious that the investigation has assumed a new dimension. The commission has the photograph of the registration of the governor but his name is not on the list of the CVR for that day in question. The name has disappeared." INEC is probing the following issues: Was there any CVR on May 23 at the Government House, Lokoja? Who was registered? How did the INEC team come about the photograph of the registration showing the governor? How was the name of the registrant (Yahaya Bello) de-listed from the INEC register? and Who were those behind the de-listing? "Certainly, it is now our words against the governor. This is a mystery we need to unravel. The governor said our team might have registered his ghost. The onus is on us to present the evidence, including our register," the source said, adding: "But we got information before we issued an official statement on the governor's double registration. "INEC is suspecting foul play by some of its staff. We hope they are not dragging the commission into the dirty politics of Kogi State again. "If we are able to establish any shady deals, those concerned will be sanctioned. They may be dismissed from service." INEC, speaking through its National Commissioner and chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee (IVEC), Prince Solomon Soyebi, first raised the alarm over the governor's alleged double registration. He said: "It has come to the attention of INEC that Governor Bello of Kogi State registered as a voter for the second time on Tuesday May 23, 2017 in Government House, Lokoja, the state capital. "His first registration was on January 30, 2011 in Wuse Zone 4, Abuja. "The governor's double registration and doing so outside lNEC's designated centres are both illegal. "We wish to make it clear that no INEC staff was authorised by the commission to re-register him or any citizen or to do so outside our designated CVR centres." 22 YR-OLD FEMALE ROBBER SOLD 20 KIDNAPPED KIDS, SEE HOW MUCH SHE SOLD HER OWN CHILD | Mr Olumide's Blog Posted: 05 Jun 2017 04:09 AM PDT From NGOZI UWUJARE Twenty-two-year-old Chinaza Onwuasoanya, is now gnashing her teeth in the custody of the Special Armed Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Anambra State Police Command, after refusing to retrace her steps and turn a new leaf. Onwuasoanya was impregnated by her boyfriend in Lagos and returned to Anambra State to have the baby but was too ashamed to go back home to her parents. After giving birth to a baby girl, a friend introduced her to 45-year-old Goodness, who runs an orphanage, which the police allege, was a cover for a baby-trafficking operation. Onwuasoanya easily handed over the baby girl in exchange for the sum of N150,000 paid to her by Goodness and moved on with her life. The money she made from the evil transaction apparently opened her eyes to the possibility of earning more from the same source. Without batting an eyelid, she moved into child-trafficking, thereby sinking deeper into iniquity. Recounting her journey into child-trafficking, Onwuasoanya told Sunday Sun: "I got into child trafficking two years ago. I have sold 20 male and female children to Madam Goodness who operates the orphanage. She paid me between N150,000 and N200,000 for each baby I sold to her. I got to know her when I became pregnant and gave birth to a girl on October 4, 2013. After I delivered the baby, a friend introduced me to Madam Goodness. I took my daughter to her and she gave me N150,000.00, to take care of myself. After that time, I decided to go into child trafficking by kidnapping children coming back from school or getting them in the street. Then I would take them to Madam Goodness. And she would sell them between N150,000 and N200,000. But I was arrested on May 1, 2017, when I stole a set of twins at an estate in Onitsha and took them to my house. Suddenly the father of the twins traced me to my house and came with policemen and I was arrested." Onwuasoanya who hails from Ebenebe, Awka North Local Government Area, Anambra State, made interesting revelations to the police while being interrogated. She confessed to being a member of the gang of robbers who killed two policemen, Inspector Shuaibu Usman and Sergeant Julius Matthew, of Police Mobile Force 29 in February, 2017 at Nkpor fly-over, Onitsha and took their AK-47 rifles, which were later used to commit robberies in Nkpor, Obosi, Ogidi, Nkpor Old Road, Awka, Oye-agu. She also assisted the SARS operatives to arrest three members of the gang while the other six members escaped and are still at large. She disclosed that she was always given her own share of the money made during robbery operations, saying that she got between N50,000 and N80,000. Though the prodigal daughter is now filled with regret, it appears too late, as the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Samuel Okaula, indicated. Besides, she passed up the opportunity to retrace her steps after giving birth to the baby. As she noted, her parents are still alive and probably agonizing over their daughter who deviated from the strait and narrow path and chose the way that has now put her in police custody for allegedly associating with armed robbers and engaging in child-trafficking. "I have regretted what I did. My parents are alive. It was my friend who introduced to child trafficking and which led me to armed robbery today," Onwuasoanya said, the reality of what lies ahead weigh heavily on her mind. Meanwhile, the Commander of SARS, Supol Sunday Okpe confirmed that Ownuasoanya's confession led to the arrest of three people alleged to be members of the gang. The suspects are: Ifeanyi Onwukwe a.k.a Nger, 22; Chidubem Osita a.k.a Kabaka, 23, and Chijioke Obi a.k.a Abababa, who is 23 years old. When prodded by Sunday Sun for comments, Onwukwe said: "It is true that we killed two policemen at Nkpor, we went with one vehicle and three motorcycles which we always used for our robbery operations. We always met at the football field at Nkpor to plan our strategies. The SARS operatives recovered an AK47 rifle from us. We used the AK47 rifle to carry out our operations." Goodness who admitted to running an orphanage, which had 15 children, however, denied engaging in child trafficking. She added: "Students who got pregnant come to us to deliver their babies, and we take care of them. Also children whose parents died are brought to us too. I don't sell children rather I take care of them. I have never known Chinasa Onwuasoanya in my life." Olu Famous Shares His True Life Story | Mr Olumide's Blog Posted: 05 Jun 2017 03:44 AM PDT My dear brothers and sisters, It is with a spirit overwhelmed with gratitude, a heart filled with joy unspeakable that I write this turning point note to you my readers and the general public. The Ancient of Days and The King of all kings who created the Heavens, the Earth and the fullness thereof has CALLED me to leave everything I was doing to become His servant with a POWERFUL mandate to liberate His children from Limitations, Teach them how to bring their Ideas and Creative Senses to life and Anoint them with the power to prosper and live a fulfilled life. It has been confirmed by servants of God that He has given me a special mandate, and I have been in His presence for days, leading to today, before making myself known officially. How did I get here… I resigned from my job, relocated to Lagos from Abuja in May 2013 to start my business full time as a Blogger and media consultant. I enjoyed rapid growth; by November 2013 OluFamous.Com was already one of the top 100 most visited sites in Nigeria. By January 2014 I had bought another car (Matrix), bought a land and my blog was ranking among top 74/75. Life was getting better, just the way I had thought it out before resigning from my job in Shell. Then one day, late February 2014 (the day I started building my house), I met a lady who I thought would be the wife of my dreams. Unfortunately, meeting her turned out to be the biggest UPSET I had ever experienced. Let me just say in the last 3 years – February 2014 to February 2017 – I walked through the valley of the shadow of death all because of a woman, but the Lord in His infinite mercies kept me. Things got so bad that I went to over 7 pastors at different times in Lagos, Nigeria, seeking for a solution to the troubles that came into my life because of marriage. What happened? I got into a bad marriage through spiritual manipulation. Initially, I thought the manipulations were just because "my wife" has a bad character, which made me drove her away from my house several times during courtship. But then her mother would call me and say I shouldn't worry she's working on her daughter, and that she would change. Sadly, it was much later that I got to know that the manipulations are of demonic proportions. Don't take my words lightly, I had one of the worst marital experience you could imagine. The lady I married PARKED OUT of my house just 7 days after wedding. We got married in church on Saturday March 7, 2015, by the next Saturday we had an argument over her character, I went out and when I returned she was gone. "My wife" parked her load, locked my door, threw the key I gave her into the house from the window and returned to her mother. That day marked the beginning of troubles. This is because I was WARNED by at least 3 pastors​ not to marry "my wife". In fact one of them had told me that "There is a demonic force using that lady. If you make the mistake to marry her because of love, just know that you are granting access to demons to come in and disorganize your good life". Another pastor told me that she would return to those who sent her into my life before a month if I go on with the marriage, that she has not been released for marriage and that I was walking into a wicked spiritual trap. Really!? Surprisingly, my then pastor didn't give much attention to the warnings after I told him what was going on. In fact, his wife told me that she doesn't like hearing such things. Hmmmm! But come o, Olu Famous, why did you go ahead with the marriage despite all the said warnings? Truth is, whenever I was alone, my heart would be 'shaking' like I was going to die if the marriage doesn't hold. When I go for prayers it would stop, in less than 24 hours it would return again. Also, she was pregnant (under controversial circumstances), this happened 5 months after our traditional introduction and I never wanted to have a child out of wedlock. So, I told the pastors who warned me that "God is seeing my heart", I knew something was wrong but if the marriage was called off there would most likely be an abortion, my child would be killed behind my back. My parents also called and gave me same WARNING from their pastor in Ekiti. But I went ahead with the marriage – to save my HEART from exploding, to save my unborn child (a boy) and to honour my desire not to have a child out of wedlock. I wished I had met a man of God with higher anointing back then, who would have been able to destroy the 'powers' that were being used to manipulate my HEART. I trust the Power of God and I know that even if a man gets married to the daughter of the head of demons in a particular area, she could be delivered by a man of God with higher anointing. Anyway, days after she moved out of my house, I pardoned her misguided action and allowed her return to my house. Sadly, from that point the marriage turned my life into a night mare, which took me 3 years to overcome with the help of the God that rules in the affairs of men. Because of this mess I sold my house, a house I built with 2 giant sitting-rooms in Lagos, at a give away price and I couldn't even give account of the money. I moved into 7 different houses within a space of 2 Years, paying expensive rents, agency fees, etc. around Lagos, all in a bid to go away from "my wife" and her mother. But no way. The manipulation was strong! I almost abandoned my business, seeking solution. Most times that I didn't post enough news in the course of the day back then, I was in a church for prayers. Only few persons knew what I went through. I come on my blog to advise couples to live happily; while I was going through a life-threatening marital crises. It was God who kept me and will continue to keep me. But guess what?  In the midst of all these "my wife" was busy looking for men to sleep with and collect money from, she even told one of her ex-boyfriends (less than 3 months after giving birth to our son) that he should send her the money he promised her, and she would drop our son with her mother and follow him to wherever. That is the kind of promiscuous lady I was desperately manipulated to marry. Please note that this is not an allegation, I saw these messages with my eyes on her phone and I even communicated with the foolish man (he works in Eko Hotel) who was eager to sleep with a married lady who just gave birth to our son of about 2 months and 2 weeks old. Out of shame he cut the call and I just ignored him. "My wife" chats with all kinds of men, talking about private parts and all sorts without any self-respect as a woman. Acts that a decent single lady wouldn't get herself into, "my wife" does them without any shame. Sometimes she stayed in my house only few weeks; it's either I send her back to her mother's house because of her bad character and her refusal to submit herself for Deliverance in order to destroy the demon controlling her or due to the nasty messages she exchanges with men. So one day, I met a pastor who prayed for me and said he would help me to see that I do not have a wife. He said no matter "my wife's" bad attitude, I shouldn't take her to her mother's house, I should live with her happily, that I would see that I've been taking her to her mother's house under an influence. He told me that if I refuse to drive her away after a while, the demon she's "spiritually married to" would drag her by itself to where she's needed. Hmmmm! I listened and for four weeks I kept tolerating her, but by the 5th week, to my surprise, she escaped from my house without any notice, I called her as many times as possible she refused to pick my calls. I called her mother at night that I was going to make a police report for a Missing Person because I've not seen "my wife" and my son, she said I should not go to police that she would find her daughter. Later she called me that her daughter was in the hospital and that I should relax "no problem". Which hospital? "Don't worry, no problem". I smiled! Three days later, after I discovered that "my wife" was never admitted at the hospital she claimed to have been admitted, her mother told me casually that she was in her house, she just wanted to rest. Can you beat that? True life story! But I kept my focus on God because I was WARNED clearly that all these would happen. I was on the move every other week, trying to break myself free from this mess, in the process also trying to not have a completely broken marriage, trying to be a father to my son, and trying to keep my business afloat so I don't go broke. My life was crumbling to the extent that "my wife" talked down at me, saying 'go and look at your contemporaries… nothing good can come out of you.' I knew it was the demon inside her that was speaking, so kept believing God for an end to the saga. The pastors I met had assured me that the Lord would see me through. Olu Famous was insulted, disrespected​, mocked, you name it; all because of a phony marriage. God is my witness, February 2014 when I met "my wife" to February 2017 when I finally left Lagos and relocated to Abuja, were the worst period of my adult life. It was that bad! But why did all these nonsense happen? What is the foundation? What is their end goal? Friends, what you've  read is only 15 percent of my story. I will reveal everything about the hidden secrets and bitter truths and how God eventually delivered me in my book as a pastor. In fact, the reason I shared the little I did today is because my eyes have opened to the REALITY that it was the 3-year period of my marital battles, meeting pastors, seeking Divine Intervention that the ever Merciful God used to be preparing me for this Big assignment He has entrusted me with. I now understand things of the Bible and the Holy Spirit from so many perspectives because I was always with one pastor or the other in the last 3 years. So when a lady who runs a food company in Abuja took me to a man of God, who told me to look beyond all I went through in Lagos, that God has a special assignment for me, it wasn't hard for me to accept Divine Call. Also, as a Certified Trainer – I've taught people in Shell both Lagos and Abuja offices, a top hotel as well as a Redeem church branch – I know I can do this. But I needed confirmation of the CALL of God on my life, because when I go in it must be with my all. To this end, I surrendered everything I had to God, and within 10 days I got a confirmation from another servant of God and in less that 24 hours the Lord also gave me a clear revelation. At that juncture, I just told myself that I have no choice; I must serve the owner of my life. So here I am today; a man with a life-threatening past, whose marriage collapsed in the very first week, whose marriage is over 90% failed as of this moment, a man who lost Millions and a complete house, I am the one who the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob has decided to use. What have I done to deserve this? The Most Important Assignment in the world for Olu Famous who they said can't be anything? God's ways are, indeed, not the ways of men. I now agree with a man of God who told me weeks before I left Lagos to Abuja that there's something special about me and the Lord is preparing me for it. His glory is upon me and His grace is sufficient! The CALL To Serve: I shed tears when the CALL of God for my life was finally confirmed. One of the reasons is, I love promoting the Supremacy of God even on my blog. Another is, I just cracked a Multi Million Naira idea which was about to start with a Senator and a respected Doctor (PhD) as partners. My IT friend based in UK described the idea as "wonderful", the Doctor described it as "Quiet Impressive". I had contacted a friend, one of the best IT guys in Lagos for important details. But the next thing, the Lord halted me; 'Olu Famous my child, I have an assignment for you'. I obviously do not have a choice, so I accepted; 'I am ready, Lord. Use me for Your Glory'. The Mandate: The Lord said many of His children are not happy today, many Christians are living in poverty and struggling with battles of life. Some are even jealous of people showing off questionable riches. We live in a generation where people are moved by what they see. Interestingly​, the Lord said I should not serve under my pastor or any pastor. The King of kings said He has a SPECIFIC mandate for me. I should go to a place (which He has revealed) and set up a church with an assurance that He, the God of Harvest, has empowered and mandated me to Teach, to Liberate and to Anoint His children with the POWER TO PROSPER. Yes, this is a big task. But as the Lord Liveth and His Spirit is alive, I will do it with everything I've got because the God of Elijah showed me a sign that He has indeed blessed me with the Unction to Function as His true servant. God cannot fail! My Apologies: It's not easy becoming a pastor, especially for someone like Olu Famous who has been all out in the media, making friends and few unnecessary enemies. So, I use this opportunity to plead with anyone I have offended in anyway to forgive and forget. I'm human and can make mistakes. All those I had issues with on social media maybe due to something I said or posted in the past that offended you in one way or the other, I mean no harm. Please forgive and forget. I Forgive You: There are some persons that hurt me too, some mildly and others badly, but as a servant of God I won't mention your names because I've forgiven you even before today. The Lord has deposited an ocean of wisdom inside me, He has assured me that His glory is upon me, His prophets have confirmed it multiple times and I have seen the signs myself. Anyone I minister to will begin to experience the supernatural release of God's Goodness and Mercy. Hear this; Your enemies must not die before you can be successful. The witches and strongmen in your mother's house and your father's house must not be buried before you can enjoy God's Blessings. For the Lord will set a table before you in the presence of your enemies. The government said some youths had even staged a protest before the National Assembly for the repeal of the Same Sex Marriage (prohibition) Act which prescribes a 14-year jail term for anyone who enters into a gay marriage. The Director-General of the National Orientation Agency, Dr. Garba Abari, said this during a programme titled, 'Anti-Corruption: The Role of Media as Change Agents' in Abuja on Saturday. The programme was organised by the Muslim Media Practitioners of Nigeria. The NOA boss also urged youths to stop wearing dreadlocks hairstyle and saggy trousers. He said, "It is pertinent to note that the advent of satellite broadcasting has continued to pose a serious challenge to our traditional culture and religious values and our identity as a people.  Our youths are now being deceived by the international media with values that are at variance with our culture and the teachings of our religion. "The wearing of tattoos, dreadlocks hairstyle, sagging trousers and the painting of hair have become a vogue among our young men and women. Cynthia says. "My aunties, well, a woman I was so close to in my village I called her auntie, said her brother ran a pharmacy in Italy and he needed a girl to help him there." "Straight away I asked her if it was prostitution," she remembers, "but she took me in like her own daughter, and we were so close, so when she said if it was prostitution, I wouldn't let you go, I believed her." "She was lying. When I got to Libya, the boga –a man– told me I wouldn't be working in a pharmacy, but that I was going to be a prostitute." Cynthia says. "I cried all through the night, but I could not go back, I could only move forward to Italy." "When I arrived on 25 June, 2016, they transferred me to [a hotspot in] Trappani for a week, then to a camp in Reggio Calabria. There a woman gave me a telephone to call my auntie." She says. "I saw the man who took me from the camp again, and he took me to the place I would be working. We called it Lentini, and was a road between that town and Catania. It was just a road in the bush, with so many girls working on it." KOGI AND BENUE ARE BEGGING TO JOIN BIAFRA SAYS MASSOB | Mr Olumide's Blog Posted: 05 Jun 2017 02:59 AM PDT The Movement for Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has issued a six-month ultimatum to the federal government asking it to conduct a referendum in the south east region. MASSOB alongside other pro-Biafra groups have been agitating for an independent Biafra state and according to The Sun, the group said elections will not take place in the south east region if a referendum is not conducted. The group said: "MASSOB, Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and other genuine pro- Biafran groups will mobilise the people against 2019 general election in all Biafran territory to boycott the election if federal government refuses to conduct a referendum for the exit of Biafra from Nigeria." The group also claimed that Kogi and some parts of Benue state were begging to join the Biafra movement. "MASSOB is giving six months ultimatum to the Federal Government to conduct a referendum in Biafran land or there will be no election in the South East region, including parts of Kogi and Benue states. "We are not going to disrupt anybody, including electoral officers; they will move to their wards to conduct election, but they won't see anybody. No Biafran will come out to vote that day. If somebody decides to stay indoor, you won't force him to go out and vote. We are tired of Nigeria, there is no amount of restructuring that will change our vision to actualise Biafra. "We don't condemn our brothers, the politicians, who are agitating for restructuring, because that is what they believe in, but for us, no Biafra, nothing else." Meanwhile, The leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu declared that the group is set to achieve an independent Biafra state with whatever means possible. In a recent video, Kanu said the group's main concern was to achieve Biafra at all cost but explained that for now, the non-violent approach and the call for referendum was the focus. He said without Biafra, there will be no difference between an animal and a black man. THOSE were the words of Senator representing Kogi-west, Dino Melaye, on his reaction when constituents from his Senatorial district on Friday stormed the office of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Lokoja to pick forms to commence the process of recalling him from the National Assembly. On Sunday, Melaye in a programme on Channels Television, Sunday Politics, where he and Senator Adeyemi ( a former Senator from the district and his rival ) were guest, said those who were calling for his recall from the red chamber are not his constituents. He said the protest was politically sponsored by Adeyemi and his state governor, Yahaya Bello for asking that workers and pensioners from the state be paid their entitlements. Reacting to an audio tape which surfaced online allegedly suggesting that Melaye bribed a judge to obtain victory at the election tribunal which challenged his emergence as the Senator representing Kogi-west, Senator Adeyemi confirmed that the audio tape of bribery involving Melaye and Justice Ikpeme was bearing the true voices of the duo. Reacting, Melaye described the tape as a "satanic collabo" between Adeyemi, Sahara Reporters ( the online news medium which published the audio tape) and others, urging him to be ready to prove that in court. On representing his constituency in the Senate, the controversial Senator boasted of being the "Senator with the highest number of motions and one of the highest presenters of bills in the Senate." He also said project are ongoing in all the local government in his constituency with some of them nearing completion. In terms of Intergrity, Melaye alleged that Adeyemi, got several contracts from Kogi and Rivers states which he has not completed, threatening to reopen the matter. Mr. Adeyemi has so far asked him to get ready to prove his allegations in court. Last Friday, the leader of the protest, Mr. Muhammed Tanko who is also the Administrator of Kogi local government while addressing officials of INEC noted that all the Local Government Areas comprising Kogi West Senatorial Zone are united in their resolve to recall Senator Dino Melaye. "We have compiled the key reasons to show the world that Senator Dino Melaye's recall is not only long overdue, but the right thing to do in the best interests of Kogi West Senatorial Zone, Kogi State." Hon. Tanko opined that Senator Dino persists in portraying their Senatorial Zone as hostile to the Administration of President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State respectively, for no just cause and not minding the impact on them. "Whether the appropriate authorities act or not, we the people of his constituency who are at the receiving end of his shameful deeds have run out of patience and are resolved to recall and replace him with a decent and people-oriented Senator. "We understand the requirements of S69 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 regarding the recall of such a member of the National Assembly and hereby assure everyone that Kogi Central Senatorial Zone is united in this and will achieve it. In a statement published on her Facebook account reads As an artiste, promoters book your hotel stays and often buy your destination tickets. It's never once crossed our hearts as a performing entertainment family, to have to verify that the sources of bookings are legitimate. And please, keep in mind that we've been in the industry for almost 15 years. Then came the unfortunate past Friday, when Dammy Krane got arrested trying to board a flight from Maimi to Washington: Maryland. His ticket and hotel bookings were fraudulently purchased by the next show promoter (s). And because of Dammy Krane's fame, all accusatory hell, broke loose. We thank God for His goodness and the great spirit of truth. He will have his day in court to clear his name. Woman pensioner killed by two dogs | Mr Olumide's Blog Posted: 05 Jun 2017 02:59 AM PDT A female pensioner has reportedly been mauled to death by two dogs at her relative's home in Galway, Ireland. A neighbour shot the two dogs as they were mauling the woman who is in her 60s, according to RTE. A police spokesman said: "Gardaí in Salthill are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman in her 60's who was fatally injured at a house in Galway. "Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to the incident after 3pm this afternoon. "The woman was pronounced dead at scene and her body has since been removed to University Hospital Galway. A inquest is expected to take place over the coming days." One local said: "The woman was very well known and respected. This is a terrible tragedy for the area." A post-mortem is due to take place. Kidnappers move Lagos pupils to Niger Delta creek following parents failure to pay N2m each | Mr Olumide's Blog Posted: 05 Jun 2017 02:59 AM PDT The six abducted Lagos State Model College pupils might have again been moved by their kidnappers. It was learnt that they might have been moved to a creek in Niger Delta, following their parents alleged failure to pay the N2million ransom demanded on each child. But the kidnappers were said to have failed to show up yesterday to collect a N2million ransom allegedly taken to a designated spot in Odogunyan, Ikorodu. It was gathered that the kidnappers had since Friday asked the parent to take the money to different spots, but each time he went, no one came to collect it. They were also said to have told the parent to wear the same dress he wore the first time they asked him to bring the money, so that their emissary could identify him. Despite complying with instructions, the parent, it was gathered, was kept waiting for over four hours, after which he was asked to return home, once again. The Nation gathered that the kidnappers initially accused the parent of not keeping the appointment but when he described some of the things he saw at the locations, they told him to go home that they would get back to him. It was learnt that the parent demanded to speak to his child but he was not obliged. The pupils were first moved last weekend, two days after their abduction. But, three members of the gang who went to survey the waterways before the relocation were arrested in Benin, the Edo State capital, by the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Intelligence Response Team (IRT) operatives last Tuesday. Policemen comprising those from the Lagos State Command, Marine Unit and the IRT, who stormed the first camp where the pupils were kept, engaged some kidnappers there in a gun duel. There is no vehicular movement from both side. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Mokwa, released pictures of the bridge in the state via their official Facebook page. The collapse of the bridge will seriously hamper movement in an out of the community. COURT ORDERS ARMY TO PRODUCE WHO CONSULTANT DETAINED OVER BOKO HARAM | Mr Olumide's Blog Posted: 05 Jun 2017 02:54 AM PDT A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has ordered the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) and the Nigerian Army to produce in court, a medical ‎doctor, Mohammed Mari Abba, who was accused of link with Boko Haram. Justice Binta Murtala-Nyako in her ruling on a suit filed by Abba, through‎ his counsel, Ocholi Okutepa, to challenge his continuous detention ordered the Army to in the alternative charge him to court. Abba, a consultant with World Health Organization (WHO), was arrested in Yobe State in 2012 and has remained in detention, according to Okutepa. He asked the court to declare his arrest and detention‎ since 2012 without a valid court order, as not only illegal and unlawful; but grossly unconstitutional and a grave infringement on his fundamental rights to personal liberty. He also asked the court to award N500 million as damages for his illegal detention. Joined in the enforcement of fundamental rights' suit were the AGF, ‎the Federal Government of Nigeria, the Inspector-General of Police, the Chief of Army Staff, the Chief of Defence Staff, the Nigerian Army and the Director-General, State Security Service. Justice Nyako held, "The first thing I wish to raise in this case is on the case of the applicant (Abba). This applicant who is suing in person is "missing"‎. The applicant, according to his wife, who deposed to the affidavit in support of the application, is being kept by the respondents in an undisclosed place. "However curiously, I have come across a process in the file dated 10/06/16 on behalf of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th respondents, which claimed that the applicant has been charged in suit number FHC/ABJ/CR/138/2015. "If this is correct, then it will be safe to assume the 1st, 2n‎d, 3rd and 5th respondents have an idea where the applicant may be. So as not to embark on exercise in futility, I hereby order the 1st, 2n‎d, 3rd and 5th respondents to produce the applicant before the court within 60 days‎ or charge him to court. On the alternative, they should show cause, why I should not order them to release the applicant unconditionally." APC SWEEPS SOKOTO LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTIONS | Mr Olumide's Blog Posted: 05 Jun 2017 02:34 AM PDT   The All Progressives Congress, APC, has won all the chairmanship and councillorship seat in the Local Government elections conducted on Saturday in Sokoto State. The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the results were declared in Sokoto on Sunday by Usman Abubakar, the Chairman, State Independent Electoral Commission, SIEC. Mr. Abubakar, who announced that APC won all the 22 Chairmanship seat and 234 Councillorship seat, described the poll as `free, fair and credible.' The chairman had on Saturday announced the suspension of the election in Gudu local government council. He said that the election was suspended as a result of repetition of the logos of some political parties while those of other parties were missing due to a "printer's devil." He said that a new date for the conduct of fresh poll in the local government would be fixed at a later date.
